The Hotel Miguel Angel, is located in the very center of the Paseo de la Castellana, so the location is very good, although the building and the facilities are very old, out of fashion, and most of the areas are not the quality they are suppose to be. The hotel now a days is not a 5 stars as it... More

I was assigned this hotel because it was the same one as my meetings. It is also perfectly fine for that reason. My only complaint would be that the rooms are in need of some refurbishment. They are a little bit worn, furniture-wise and actually quite noisy. Obviously, the hotel can't do much about guests going to their rooms really,... More

Getting close to needing a refurb, the Miguel Angel looks a little worn for a five star. But it's great value, the location works well for shopping and sightseeing, the garden at the back is pleasant, and the staff are outstandingly helpful. We've already booked a return trip.

The hotel is old but has been recently renovated. It is very clean and the staff are extremely helpful. There is not many tourist sites close by but there are many restaurants and it is right beside a metro station so it is easy to travel anywhere you want to go. Excellent value hotel and I would recommend staying here... More

I was there for a trade show. Best thing about the hotel is its location. Centrally located and minutes away from the subway. Everything else is pretty dated which includes room layout, facilities, breakfast area.

The hotel is by the metro station, which makes it convenient for visiting the city. Breakfast is simple but fresh and delicious. Room is not good at all. Wall to wall carpet is dirty and smelling with stains on it. Furniture is very old. It is never a five star hotel room. There is no place to sit except an... More

Conveniently located (very close to one of Madrid's main and most beautiful arteries - la Castellana) I have always found the Miguel Angel fascinating. The hotel is beautiful, offers anything you need (restaurants, bar, spa) and yet doesn't look like one of those unimpressive places run by hotel chains, that dominate the capital cities of this world. The Miguel Angel... More

A beautiful hotel with professional staff. Floor 5 is an executive floor that you need a key to enter. This floor has its own bar and dining area. The restaurant downstairs is waiter service with a good variety menu. There is bars in the foyer and round the hotel. There is also a good gym. The hotel is very central.... More

Located on an attractive avenue, not within walking distance of any interesting sights, but metro is very close. Modern décor in the lobby w/lots of marble & huge chandelier. Room furnishings were starting to show wear, pillows were lumpy and didn’t offer much support. Nice marble bathroom w/double sinks, but no magnifying mirror and a wimpy hair dryer. Room was... More

Staying in Chamberi

Neighborhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighborhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
