For my first visit to Madrid I chose the Miguel Angel Hotel for which I can say that is good and beautiful hotel in a good location. In front of the hotel there is metro station from which I came from the airport. I got a room with views of the city because I don´ like rooms with a view... More

Stayed here at the end of an organized tour (Insight). A little far from the historic area, the hotel is nevertheless in the very upscale Salamanca neighborhood, and the rooms as well as the public areas are beautifully done. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Definitely consider staying here when in Madrid.

TA should perhaps be aware that this is definitely not 5 star. I'm amazed they still have this rating having just come from the Gran Melia Felix - worlds apart! I have to say the foyer and ground floor amenities for Miguel Angel are beautifully preserved. I have no doubt this was 5 star it's day but this day was... More

Good little over average business hotel. Good service in reception, plenty of English speaking staff, friendly and helpful. Good room with desk and chair, nice when work must be done. Breakfast buffet very good! Dinner served at terrace, so nice to relax in the warm evening. However many small issues that should be improved. Hangers to the coats, no power... More

The MiguelAngel is an older hotel located in a safe neighbourhood and close to good restaurants and cafés. The rooms are large and quiet, with wifi and a refrigerator. The decor is dated but the hotel staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. Some rooms are dark with wall stone wall views so ask for even numbered rooms that... More

We saw this hotel listed as 4 or 5 stars on the booking sites, and I was indeed skeptical because the price seemed too reasonable for that star level. Well, I should have trusted my instinct. While this is in a decent enough location (we still had to take a bus/taxi to do any sightseeing), the hotel is old. I... More

I have known better days for this hotel but still great value for your money, eventually will get renovated and would be a perfect stay in Madrid. Close to everything by taxi or walking. A few Michelin start restaurants within walking distance. the 5th floor has the best rooms

I stayed at the "executive" 5th floor, where you can enter only using your magnetic key (same you use to your room) to open the glass door outside the elevator area. This floor has it's own breakfast room and also a private reception. Very friendly and professional staff. Rooms are not huge, but with a good size, the bed was... More

The hotel is beautifully appointed downstairs and the breakfast was sensational with a huge range of choices. However, we were disappointed with our room. The bathroom was fine, bed good, but the carpet was absolutely threadbare in parts and very dirty. So much so I didn't take my shoes off when in the room. I would expect more from a... More
