Nice hotel in a quiet suburb of Madrid, but still within easy access of all the places to go and visit. The metro is just outside of the hotel which is really easy and convenient for when you want to get into the city center which is about 10 minutes away. The hotel itself is nice - impressive entrance although... More

we stayed here before the commencement of our tour of spain. a short taxi ride about 5 euros into the city centre. we paid extra and had access to the level 5 private bar and dining / breakfast area. well worth it, a lovely place to relax and unwind at the end of the day, free snacks and refreshments and... This was a lovely hotel with restaurant and spa. Very complete breakfast buffet. The front desk was always well attended. Our room was a standard room and quite adequate, though they do have upgraded rooms. The location was goodwith two neaa

I have stayed at this hotel for a number of years. I normally stay on the 5th executive floor. This time I got a room in the 2nd floor, supposedly an upgrade. The rooms and corridors need urgent renovation. The hydraulic system, showers also need an upgrade. Their service is nice and cordial and the location is perfect.

A few months ago I spent a few days in Miguel Angel Hotel with my family. My sister, niece and parents decided to visit Madrid and I personally took care about hotel. Knowing my parents and specially my mother, I know what was the priority: Quality and Inmmaculate Service and Attention. I ask several of my friends for this specific... More

Having lived in Madrid several years ago, I decided it was time to see the city again and ended up picking the Miguel Angel hotel. I was surprised at the old-fashioned but well conserved decoration and the exceptional quality of the beds. The rooms were spacious and everything worked just fine. Although not luxurious, I deem this hotel as an... More

The location of the hotel is good with easy access to the metro. The lobby is lovely but that is where it ends. The rooms have disgusting stained/threadbare carpets AND the hotel is doing construction so get ready to wake up to hammering and sawing. We recently stayed here for 4 nights on a trip to Madrid, after the second... More

Beds like something you might get in prison. Food service compelled everyone to eat outside the property. Fortunately we only were there for one night. Not much in the neighborhood either. Try one of the other fine hotels in Madrid for a better experience.

We were part of a tour group. When we arrived at the hotel, the first impression was the hotel looks quite grand with marble floors . Check in was friendly and quick. The location is perfect - in the heart of Madrid, close to metro station. The interior design is from past century (fotogenic lusters). Check the carpet and you'll see the age of the hotel. There was good breakfast offer (lots of fruits, vegetables, cheese). But we expected from the 5 stars hotel better service - the pool or spa should... More

Staying in Chamberi

Neighborhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighborhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
