Obviously a grand hotel at one time but is bow looking tired and dated. Rooms are spacious but again dated. Mine was very cold despite putting heating on max. No tea making facilities but free wifi. Breakfast is ok, lots of choice but its poor quality. Eggs swimming in fat, undercooked and cold. It was a good location to my... More

Dear guest Thank you for your review in Tripadvisor about Hotel Miguel Angel. The pool is a part of hydrotherapy service, like the sauna or thermal service. Our fitness center is complimentary service for guest of the hotel; but Spa Caroly Health Club is an aditional service, like the restaurant. We offer an special rate for our guest, 20€ per... More

I stayed here for 3 nights and whilst the rate was good, the hotel was not of 5 star standard. The bed is uncomfortable, there are no tea making facilities in the room and there are 3 plug sockets in the room. I was unplugging lights to charge my phone etc. I had room service and it was below par.... More

Although it´s abvious that the hotel does need some renovation in the rooms, the ratio between quality and price is very good. The staff would be what I would rate higher. Good room service as well. Spa facilities are good as well. Dinning at the main entrance restaurant would not be my recommnedation, stay at the caffeteria or if you... More

The hotel is in the centre of Madrid and having easy metro connections. We loved the room even if it was a bit small. The staff was professional and very kind. The breakfast was amazing! We totally loved it! If you want to stay in a good place this is a place to stay, plus the room was having AC... More

I spent only one night on a business trip. The hotel is in a good location and my room was quiet enough. All services worked well. A friendly and efficient reception, immediate instructions on how to use WiFi. Clean room and internet was simple to use and free. Full marks. Breakfast offered a good variety of food but nothing entirely... More

Well, I guess we were lucky compared to many other comments about the rooms. I think we might have been executive (presumably the standard ones are much less good). The room was fine, not large, but perfectly good: clean, quite smart and everything worked. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The wifi everywhere was excellent. The room came with the... More

I was on a business trip for 5 nights at the executive rooms. The room and the hotel in general was clean and well kept, although also a bit outdated. I just arrived to the hotel and I have booked both a standard and an executive room. There is actually no difference and I pay 200 euros/ night which is outraging. Staying in Chamberi

Neighborhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighborhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
