This is a very clean and friendly place....nice and quiet, yet only a few minutes from the city centre. Breakfast is a bit lacking but plenty of it. Rooms are dated and need refurbishing, but not tired..... Check in and out very efficient... I would stay again. Good value for a budget hotel.... Thanks you.

Stayed 4 nights at this property, the first 2 in a suite which features a sauna and couples Jacuzzi tub - outstanding except it happened to be located on the same side of the building as the disco (not affiliated with hotel). The first night we didn't notice as we were suffering from jet lag and were worn out. The... More

This hotel is definitely not a five star, despite claiming to be. Pros- nice staff, nice reception, good location for metro and buses, nice toiletries and powerful shower Cons- dated rooms, terrible beds, €20 pp to use pool, carpet in room worn out (see pic), air con can't decide hot or cold, lightbulb started flickering in the middle of the... Recently spent two nights at this hotel and I was impressed with the quality of the service, the comfort of the rooms and the level of cleanliness. As soon as I arrived at the Hotel I could smell that the floors had just been washed - however this seemed to be the trend since every time I entered or exited... More

We chose it due to to overbooking in Madrid those dates. When we arrived and the receptionist couldn't speak english we knew we made the wrong election. Once we arrived to the room, things got worse. The view was interior, so no view at all. Also, we had a our room connected into another one, so we could hear our... More

This is an OK hotel with perfectly good service and food. It sits in the heart of Madrid so it's well located. I was there on a business trip so didn't really need anything too fancy, but I thought the hotel looked a bit tired and in need of an update. The room was a bit dark and gloomy.

The hotel is quite pretty...but my room smelled like cigarettes, the fuse box wasnt working when i arrived so the tv...fridge...lights...ac...didn't work. They did have a very comfortable bed... clean bathroom... great breakfast and beautiful lobby...oh and could hear everything my neighbors said to each other!

We spent three days in this hotel in late April 2015 in a standard double room. Apart from a lovely lounge and outdoor area, we found little to recommend it to other travelers. Rooms were adequate but things such as worn carpeting ,broken window locks and musty smelling halls were not appreciated. Reception staff were business like but hardly welcoming... More

I stayed in a wonderful room that included a jacuzzi and a king size bed - couldn't have been more comfortable. Tube station right outside the door, good breakfast, the only but was the spa - the pool is so much smaller than it looks in the pictures, so it was already fully booked. Finally, we managed to get in... More

Staying in Chamberi

Neighborhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighborhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
