Mora is a nice hotel, located in the very heart of the city, near the Atocha railway station and Prado Museum. Small but nice rooms, convenient location, very good food. A perfect hotel for lower budget travels. more

We stayed at Hotel Mora for 2 night weekend city break in Feb 2009. The hotel location is great, opposite the botanical gardens, near the museums, just a short walk from the restaurants & bars of Huertas & Santa Ana and close to the train station. The hotel décor is rather dated, the lobby is very chintzy & clad with... more

This hotel is in a great location, but the unfriendliness of the place really put a damper on our experience. The hotel rooms are small, basic and adequate. We didn't sample their restaurant because we had such a negative feeling about the hotel - but there were great tapas places nearby. You are also up the block from the Reina... more

A friend and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in October. The front desk staff was never very friendly, but did their job. We were pleasently surprised with our room. It was a bit small, bur very very nice. It was well decorated and absolutely quiet even though our room faced the main street. The bathroom was very... more

When we first arrived I wasn't really sure about the hotel, especially as the woman at the desk was extremely unfriendly. But when I entered my room I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the simplicity and cleanliness of the space. I dove into the crisp sheets of the bed and slept for the rest of the night. In the... more

We were 5 girls visiting madrid on vacation. A friend of us recommended the Hotel, it was a good choice. 3 stars hotel great location, near Atocha station, museo del prado, thyssen and Sta Sophia art museum. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff not really smiley faces, but helpful. the rooms have double balcony doors; the interior door is double... more

Clean, comfortable room (double occupancy) for 5 nights. First night in room above cafe - very noisy, avoid room 101. Moved to room 307 on request - marvellous, quiet with enough space for 2. Reasonably priced. Within easy walking distance of the three art museums and Atocha station. Staff are not the friendliest but efficient and helpful. more

My Wife and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel and I would say we were both reasonably satisfied ( and my Wife is fussy where hotels are concerned ). The location is good, being close to the prado and other museums although Madrid centre is relatively small for a City and most places are... more

We stayed here twice and were very happy both times. It's true the people at the front desk are very unfriendly but they are civil. With the Prado across the street the hotel faces a long narrow park with huge trees, grass and several fountains. It's a very nice part of Madrid and about a 2 - 3 block walk... more

For our short trip, focused on time in three of Madrid's great museums, Hotel Mora was a perfect homebase. The location was perfect -- right across the street from the Prado, and just blocks from the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Reina Sofia, but also close to lots of cafes and bars, near the train station for a day trip to... more
