Hotel Mora is conveniently located close to the Atocha train station in central Madrid. In fact, you can walk to the hotel dragging your suitcase in about 10 minutes. It's close to the famous Retiro Park and just minutes from Plaza Sol and many delightful restaurants. Use TripAdvisor to find the best eating places in the neighborhood. Best of all,... More

Located near the Prado- great location! Close to Reina Sofia, Thyssen, Caixa Forum, Barrios Las Letras (museum district), the train, and the list goes on. Comfortable room in the middle of the beautiful city's Museum district. We spent one week there before traveling on to other parts of the country. Must return!

Tiny hotel room, even by European standards (my guess is approximately 100 sf). My husband and I could not stand shoulder to shoulder in the little area that surrounded the bed. Bathroom also minuscule -- I had to step in, move to the side, and close the door before I could get full access to the sink. So if you... More

This hotel is one of the top budget options my group stayed in during our 2 week Spain trip. It's clean and our room (a triple) was very clean. Most importantly, the location is ideal. It is right across the street from the Prado, 5 minutes to Parquet Retiro, and 10 minutes to Plaza Mayor. It's also VERY quiet in... More

The hotel is great beside the fact that they don't operate the air condition in April despite the very hot temperature. So we didnt sleep well. It is important to check it before you book a room. There is no minibar so you cant keep food or beverage cold. I agree it is good value for money.

This hotel was a perfectly situated inexpensive option for a weekend trip to Madrid. On the edge of the old town and close to the railway station, the Prado, and the Reina Sofia museum we didn't need to resort to public transport once. The room was facing a main road, but well-insulated windows meant that the traffic noise didn't disturb... More

Having stayed at this hotel 3 years ago I knew what to expect. The reason for choosing it this time remained the same : proximity to Puerta Atocha railway station, from where I needed to catch a train the following day. I was not disappointed. The hotel is basic but comfortable. My single room had a small en-suite with shower... More

The plan of the hotel in every bedroom shows that the rooms are of very varying sizes, and this may explain the different reviews below. The smallest rooms contain a double bed which almost fills the room. The bathroom is tiny. Such a room is just about ok for one person, but for two people it is completely impossible. So... More

The Hotel Mora exceeded expectations. Our room 212 was extremely spacious--certainly by European standards--with a large and modern bathroom. It was also very quiet (I had made a point of requesting a quiet room when I made the reservation). The price we paid of ~$93 USD seemed very fair, for the excellent neighborhood, very close to the Retiro and a... More

Other than the location (down the street from the Prado Museum), this hotel is average to below average in my opinion. The room was very small, the bathroom ridiculously small, no alarm clock, no real comforter on the bed (just a bunch of thin sheets), and there was no decor in the room which made it feel unwelcoming. The air... More
