A wonderful spot for the large museums and old town. Be sure to get a room at the back as it is noisy and hot. We were there during a heat wave and they did not turn on the a/c until the last night after we had moved rooms!

A wonderful spot for the large museums and old town. Be sure to get a room at the back as it is noisy and hot. We were there during a heat wave and they did not turn on the a/c until the last night after we had moved rooms!
I selecteed Hotel Mora for their location ( right across from Museo Del Prado and close to Atocha train Station... tehlocation was great however the hotel was not taht greta... there was a smell in the room..and their wi-fi was aweful.... they said they had wi-fi but you coudl never connect....
I stayed with a good friend for 4 nights. The room was nice, not too small and perfectly laid out. It didn't have a balcony, just a window looking onto the building behind (we asked for a room at the back because of the heavy traffic at the front). The weather was crap anyway, so it didn't matter.
The breakfast...

We stayed at the Hotel Mora in September 2011. Our room was small and utilitarian however it was clean and comfortable. We loved the central location and could easily walk to the Prado (which is absolutely worth a visit). We did have breakfast one day in the little restaurant attached to the hotel but we found better value for money...

We stayed at Hotel Mora for one night before we flew back from Madrid to Atlanta.
I picked this hotel because of its location close to Atocha station and the fact that it was within my budget (72 Euros on booking.com).
I must say the location of Hotel Mora was really great as it basically was opposite Prado Museum and...

It is not the first time I stay at this Hotel. Recommendable for its relation quality/location/price. Small rooms but clean and with everything you need: a good bed and a bathroom. Close to Museums.
I am not a finicky traveler, I just need clean; quaint is a bonus. We knew this wouldn't be a gem of a hotel as we paid $84 for 1 night, but we needed something close to the Atocha station as well as the museum district. With less than 24 hours in town, we wanted to explore a part of...

We stayed at the Hotel Mora for three nights in July upon recommendation from a Madrid friend. Staff was always helpful and mostly very friendly, rooms were nicely appointed in modern decor and clean. The place was an island of peace in the middle of a buzzling downtown. It was the beginning of our first trip to Spain, so we...

We stayed two nights at Hotel Mora and they will be our last. Though location is good, the front desk staff was totally uninterested in helping us with questions and seemed put out by our presence. If they don't like their jobs, do something else. Better options and nice accomodations are available close by for only 6 euros more per...

Stayed 4 nights in mid May 2011. On the plus side, 10 min from train station, 5 min from many Tapas bars/restaurants, 10 min from best museum in town, and clean. On the minus side, small rooms, and thin walls. More pluses, great front desk folks with good english, an attached eatery with pictures on the menus of breakfast foods,...
