Probably about the fourth time I've stayed here, due to it's absolutely perfect location, along with previously very comfortable rooms & facilities. Bit of a quibble this time though, due to incredibly small bathroom - albeit with large shower. No space for a bidet, and knees abutting the sink unit whilst sat on the loo. ! VERY expensive (and a... More

This nicely-decorated boutique hotel is in a great location - close to the metro and within walking distance to Plaza Mayor and other popular spots. Staff is always on-site, welcoming, and helpful with any questions. One woman was even able to recommend a nail salon close by for me. Being in a real hotel with air conditioning during the hottest... More

Visited here recently for 4 nights. The lobby is beautiful and gives you the expression of something really good. Our room for 2 people with 140cm bed however was really small for two, on the 1st floor. Bed was firm and we asked some extra pillows which we got from friendly maid. Bathroom was really small too. I know they... More

I'm going to this hotel every year. Now it's even better after the renewal. Even in the noisy Granvia it's very quiet. The breakfast include really good Spanish specialities including churros and pa amb tomàquet. Very nice staff and walking distance to Prado museum, Cibeles, Plaza de Oriente, Reina Sofia museum.

This quaint little boutique hotel situated in downtown Madrid, was a pleasant surprise for us. The rooms were smaller, typical for Europe, but they were clean, the AC worked fantastically ( temps were 38C+ the entire time) quiet in the evening, and the service at the hotel was by far the best we encountered in our entire 3 week tour... This hotel is located well... walk out the doors and to your left you can walk to retiro park and to the right you walk a bit down gran via then left into the mecca of small beautiful streets lined with cafes, etc. Very clean and modern rooms. Great lobby and bar. Delicious breakfast (I'm writing this after staying in... More

Recently returned from our first visit to Madrid and stayed at this hotel on the Gran Via. It is an excellent location as you can walk to so many of the sights within 15 minutes. It is close to bars, restaurants and one of the casinos. The whole hotel looked like it had just been redecorated. The rooms were sparklingly... More

Stayed here for 4 days. Really a comfortable room but very small.(It was the cheapest option so maybe that's why it was small) The Location is just superb, if you want to be in the busy street of Gran Via. or close to Chueca... Excellent breakfast included. and the rest of the hotel was fine. I would stay here agian... More

We have just returned from a city break in Madrid staying at the H10 Villa de la Reina. This was our first visit to the city and while it may not have the attractions of Rome or Paris the general architecture and feeling of the city is wonderful. A city to be recommended. As for the hotel it is ideally... More

The hotel is just stunning! NYC style building at Gran Via, close to all action, bars, restaurants and shops! Great design, funky and modern. I strongly recommend that H10 Hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful (not as much while my check-out as reception staff hardly speak english and was very harsh, not good last impression) Over all, place to... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
