The Ibis Styles brand of the Accor hotel group have got this property spot-on. If you did not know it was part of an international chain, you would be easily fooled into thinking it is a standalone boutique hotel. It is by no means luxury but it is at the top end of three stars. The design throughout the hotel,... More

You will not find a hotel decently priced like this, given the location and free breakfast. The breakfast was great. The location is really wonderful. You can walk everywhere from there in the city and won't need the metro much. Also, there is a bus that's not very far from the hotel that takes you to the airport directly. The... More

This is a no frills hotel. Great location, small rooms and a minimal breakfast. We stayed as three guests in one room but there was plenty of room for all of us. Nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about either. Good hotel to stay for a couple nights.

This is an exceptionally clean and quiet hotel. It is located close to the Prado Museum, Museo Reina Sofia, and the Atocha Train Station. I received a very good rate through the Ibis Hotel website. The staff were attentive and efficient. The single room, which by some standards may be considered small, met my needs and was comfortable.

Booked this Hotel after a lot of online searching and was very pleased with the choice I made. The Hotel is modern, clean, has very comfortable beds and is within easy walking distance of Madrid's major museums and other tourist attractions. Even though situated on a lively street with a good choice of bars and restaurants there is no problem... More

Not a lot wrong with this hotel at all. I've stayed in Ibis Budgets before but that wasn't as good as this one. Ok, breakfast was pretty basic but that's not a problem. The room was clean and spacious. It's also well situated for the art galleries too.

This was a lovely hotel in a great location. Very reasonably priced and the morning breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice and lots of lovely fresh fruit, cheese and meats etc. The room was small but clean. Would definitely stay there again. It's a little funky gem.

Perhaps not one of the best hotels in Madrid or the most luxurious, but its location is perfect for any tourist. If you are looking forward to get to know the city and walk around the centro this is the place to stay. Its price is really good and the rooms are very clean and new. They are not small,... More

Staying in Huertas

Neighborhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighborhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighborhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
