Our stay at the Tryp Alondras was excellent. The room was beautiful and comfortable and the staff was very friendly.
The best part was the location, in the heart of the Chamberi neighborhood. Away from the craziness of downtown, the hotel is in a rather residential area. But getting to the center is quick and easy, a 25 minute walk...

I have not written a negative review so far, but unfortunately that time has arrived. Relative to other reviews: the hotel seems to have been renovated. The room is pretty basic and functional. Interestingly enough, there was no soap in the bathroom even after complaining (had to use shower gel - maybe that is a cost-saving measure!). The staff gave...

hotel is close to 4 metro stops which we found the best thing about it. they all take you to all parts of the city, especially to downtown. also, a supermarket is a block away. many little bars are around with cheap drinks and tapas. right next to hotel there is a club. location was perfect! also, front desk was very...

This is a very tired old hotel, with what at best could be described as a dated interior. Service from the one receptionist on check in was poor, I waited 25 minutes whilst the receptionist dealt with 2 people in front of me.
The facade is all being redone, so the view from the window is of scaffold and monoflex...

Booked this through Priceline.com just for 1 night as we were flying out in the morning through Madrid.
Hotel was ok. The room was nice enough, but it reeked of cigarette smoke. But the bed was soft and we slept the night. It served it's purpose.
Probably the worst characteristic of the hotel is the location, there is absolutely nothing...

Stayed at this hotel as part of a business trip. The staff were ok at reception, until we asked for a kettle and ironing board, which seemed as though we were asking to take their left arm. The breakfast is too expensive at 12 Euros, as the 'hot' breakfast is not hot. Once morning we just wanted coffee and a...

We chose this hotel because of the location and lower price than other hotels. We spent one night here, checking in fairly late and leaving fairly early. Because we didn't spend too much time in the hotel, it met all of our needs. It's by no means a luxury place but it's clean and a place to sleep.
Would probably...

Stayed for three nights in June while on a business trip and wouldnt be enthusiastic about returning.
Rooms are shabby and musty smelling. Breakfast was okay but on one morning there were a group holding a religious service in the breakfast room which I thought was inappropriate. Not much to do in locality and a good walk to find bars...
