This is a typical 3 star hotel, but the location is absolutely great. 200-300 m from Puerta del Sol, and most of the Madrid Center attractions at walking distance. Decent, cold breakfast, rooms are a bit worn out, but working. Our double room's major disadvantage was the noise - both from the street, and from other rooms. So, buy good... More

exelent place! very close - walking distance - to a lot of fantastice places in Madrid! Nice room, very nice people in the hotel. Small minus for breakfest - nothing regional. But for sure I can recomend this hotel!

This hotel is in a great location right in the centre of madrid. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Unless you get breakfast really cheaply I wouldn't bother with it in the hotel as there wasn't much choice. There's 3 metro stations really close by so it's really easy to travel about.

We almost don't take breakfast because they guive it too early . This is the onl thing we can object to the hotel. The reception people were always very kindle and know how to guive you all kind of orientation.

Minutes walking from Puerto Del Sol and Gran Via, this hotel exceeded my expectation for the 2nd time. Clean and friendly with all the required facilities are there. Nice lobby and comfortable beds are included

I found this place with no information but couldn't have been happier with the results. The location is superb and the staff bent over backwards to help us. For the centre of the capital city the rates were really reasonable as well. The service desk was able to help us with a really difficult request to add an extra night... More

I stayed in this hotel for five nights in August 2014, having booked it with my Avios points. As all the other reviewers point out, the location is outstanding, and although it is a few steps from Gran Vía, it is on a side street, so is relatively quiet. I did have an internal room (which meant that there was... More

This was one of the best located hotels I have ever stayed in. Just a 90 second walk from Gran Via, close to great restaurants, shopping, plaza's and attractions. Vibrant location! The staff was attentive and very forthcoming with recommendations and suggestions. They were great at showing concern for where you went. All of their suggestions were excellent, directions on... Just arrived back from a 3 night stay in this hotel. Firstly it's location is superb - close to both the main shopping centre and the metro - from here you can get to all the main tourists sights by foot and catch the metro easily to anywhere further afield. The hotel itself is small and basic - but doesn't... More

Great located in central Madrid close to shopping area and metro station. Walking distance to the popular Plaza Major and Royal Palace. Nice and clean hotel. Very good value for your money. Second time we stay at this hotel in Madrid. Absolutely recommended!

Neighborhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
