The 'Olano Hotel' as it's listed here is not really an hotel, but a block of apartments. Situated in a quiet residential street in a fairly traditional neighbourhood of Madrid that is experiencing plenty of interesting change as immigration to Spain increases, the apartments are all located in a seven-storey building of fairly recent construction. Ros de Olano is a five-minute walk from Plaza Prosperidad where the Metro station of the same name (Prosperidad) has frequent fast links to the rest of the city. Along Lopez de Hoyos (the main road on which the square is situated) and in the square itself are found a huge range of shops, services (hairdressers, etc.), as well as a market selling fresh produce (down the steps on the opposite side of the square to the Metro station) and a large supermarket (next to the Metro station).
