Hotel is reasonably convenient for the airport (40 minutes by metro with just one change; 300m from station) and close to but just outside the central museums/ shopping/ restaurant area. There’s a good pasteleria nearby: Mallorca on c/Genova. Reception friendly and efficient. Printed my boarding card for me. Free espresso machine in lobby. My room was large, modern décor, good... I stayed at this hotel with my wife and the rooms don't have individual a/c control. That week was hot but the hotel still had the heating turned on so there was no way to cool down the room we barely could sleep, I felt like sleeping in a cheap motel I had to take a shower before sleeping, has... Very close to underground station, at walking distance to most central venues in Madrid; stylish and calm. Yet the music that welcomes you at the reception desk, and will go after you again during breakfast, is a nightmare. And beware: this was my second time there, and on both occasions I had to change room on arrival: first time there... More

The nH Hotel Alonso Martinez is ideally situated. Just one minute walk from the station with the same name. Walk a minute or two south, and you're in an area filled with tiny streets, cafés and beautiful sights. The hotel's breakfast is splendid and elegantly laid out (and they'll even boil an egg or fry you an omelet to your... More

Place was ok but when there is - 1 degree Celsius outside and your room is at 25 degree with windows open, you don't sleep and you come back tired and sick. Interesting for your business to make your presentations ! Warming through the floor is maybe the reason of this unhealthy atmosphere. That was this only problem but main... More

Great location with excellent service and added services for business and leisure travelers. The free WIFI and breakfast are great benefits. Hotel has obviously been renovated recently and both public and private areas are in great condition.

The hotel is beatifully renovated. Rooms in white colour look shiny and they are spotlessly clean. Location is excellent, both for discovering the centre on foot or take the metro to main highlights. Above all, staff is wonderfully helpful- you will not feel in a chain hotel. Go for it !

This hotel is a great find. Great location, incredible service and overall a great value for the rates. Breakfast is definitely a value add as well as their Wifi. Hotel has obviously been renovated recently as everything seem to be in tip top shape. I would recommend for both business and leisure purposes for any future stay in Madrid.

A great hotel with a fab location with walking distance to Central madrid. Just out if thre most touristy area so not too noisy, this excellent hotel is only 45 mins and a couple of changes on the metro door to door to the airport. It has a great breakfast selection of freshly made food and I noticed how good... More

This is a quality experience, close to the river. Directly opposite the museum and close to all the bars and night life in the city. Well worth a look for business and pleasure. Excellent staff, location, food and price.

Staying in Chamberi

Neighborhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighborhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
