Hotel was very nice- in an affluent neighborhood, about 2 miles from the Prado and other tourist attractions. Bed, queen size, was very comfortable. Room itself was laughably small but I'm guessing they gave us one of the smallest rooms because we found a fabulous rate on hotwire ($117/night). Visited our favorite hotel in Madrid for 4 days. A year had past since our last visit and everything is still as good as our previous stays. Not the best location for a first timer in Madrid but it is a great location if you are willing to walk, take the bus or subway in Madrid. Excellent and confortable rooms... more

For the high price you'd expect to have some amenities like free water, free internet, shuttle service. The service varied - it was a bit snooty and accomodated requests only after some begging. The room was extremely spacious by European standards. The staff was friendly, all spoke excellent English, and were eager to help.
