My husband and I were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and this was the PERFECT place to do it! The room and the view were amazing. The jacuzzi tub with a view of the city was even better than the online photos. The bed was super comfortable, and we loved the colored lighting on the bedside tables. The sound system... More

The hotel staff is exceptional...very attentive and helpful. They helped us with our day trip to Toledo, and gave us an excellent run down of the things to do and see in the city. The Level was a great option...our 11 year old son loved it! It gave us a relaxing place in which to unwind and meet other guests.... More

Hotel: This hotel is a very cute one, the stuff is friendly and rooms are cleaned. Location: In the surroundings are a lot cervezerias and tappas bars, also a metro station from where you can reach every point for 1EUR. For me a valuable deal and i will come back next time and double thumbs up from me.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We chose to take the local upgrade to include breakfast (which was excellent) and access to a lounge with free drinks and tapas, which we would recommend. The rooms were clean, well appointed with the usual amenities you expect from a hotel in this class.

I so much wanted to like this hotel. I was aware of the Melia brand for a long time and I thought the swimming pool and the club level facilities would be good diversions while waiting for the Mrs. to return from her shopping jaunts. This is not a bad hotel, there was just nothing fantastic about it or our... More

After ten days in Spain and on our way back home we wanted to stay in a good hotel and good location.... This was the right choice. Must have been recently refurbished... Building from outside looks outdated, main entrance look weird, like getting into an no outlet street, but once you get inside, you'll be nicely surprised. Attentive staff. Small... More

The location is good. Rooms are more small than we like and breakfast cost very much. The best in the hotel is reception. She help a lot. We are from China, English is not very good. Stayed with Maria at VRBO Listing #3510056ha for 4 days. This one bedroom apartment on the 16th floor in the Melia Madrid Princesa apartment complex was fantastic. Maria is the sweetest person. She was great about communicating during the booking process, gave us links for interesting sites to see and weather reports prior to our arrival. She cheerfully met us... More

The hotel has an entrance that is sort of off an alley. Does not seem like a five star hotel. Room fairly small. Decor nothing special. Breakfast overpriced and you have to pay extra to use the pool. It does have a good location and is very close to Metro stop. Can walk to the Palace.

Dear 226Mark, Thank you very much for sharing your feedback of your last experience at Meliá Madrid Princesa with tripadvisor and us. The hotel is located on a private street and although it may look old, the inside had been remodelated last 2006. We are sorry if the style did not please you. We would like to inform you that... Stayed here for a work conference between 30th June to 3rd July. the hotel is well appointed, and close to some lovely local areas (tomb of debod & royal palace). The room was well laid out and very stylish, with a comfortable bed. We had out conference throughout the hotel, and again these rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The... More

Staying in Arguelles

Neighborhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
