I usually prefer to stay in Holiday Inn chain hotels but this is the first time that I will rather not coming back to this hotel. It is not that it is a bad hotel but it is simply not the same standard that I am used to when I go to one of the chain hotels. The building is... more

My wife and I stayed at the Madrid Holiday Inn in May of 2009. We were in Madrid for a vacation and stayed 6 nights at the hotel. It is very clean and the service is excellent. I highly commend the front desk staff for excellent English, willingness to help and give information. It is "not close" to the downtown... more

The hotel offers worn rooms in an old building. It is true the walls are paper thin, but that doesn't bother me. Everything is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is a fair bit from the center but well connected by bus and metro. Getting to and from the airport also easy by (inexpensive) public... more

After reading the reviews on here I had to double check we were talking about the same Holiday Inn! Quiet? Definitely not, and that's not something that usually bothers me. The walls and doors are so paper thin that as soom as someone uses their key to access a room anywhere near yours the lock mechanism sounds like it's in... more

I travel frequently to Madrid and I always come back to this hotel. The staff is superb, rooms are large and clean, breakfast is very well served. As an example, I needed to iron a shirt urgently at 7pm, a lady kindly took it and it was back in 20 minutes as a courtesy service, what else can you ask... more

Stayed here twice in the last four months, service excellent, staff always very helpful. Out of the main centre next to the Santiago Bernebeau stadium and metro station, but easy to jump on the metro and go into town, 10 ticket metro an easy way to get about and cost effective. quick ride from the sirport on the metro all... more

The Holiday Inn Madrid is THE place to be if you are struggling to find a quiet area to sleep at night without complaints about outside noise. Madrid is a very noisy city 24 hours a day, almost anywhere you stay.....and you'll be hard pressed to find other quiet alternatives elsewhere in the city, with the same excellent transport connections... more

The hotel and service is o.k., just location is more for business travelers, but not for tourists, because it's quite far from the center. more

I have stayed in many holiday inns and this one is better than average. As I say in the title the rooms can become expensive on the holiday inn web site (160 Eur) which is quite a lot for a holiday inn. As stated by others, rooms are good and clean but could benefit from refurbishment. Breakfast is indeed good,... more
