Superb location, comfortable rooms, extremely friendly and helpful hosts, attractive surroundings, and a satisfying breakfast. We'd definitely stay here again if we returned to Madrid. There's a small book swap section officially a BookCrossing Zone. (If you don't know what BookCrossing is about go to BookCrossing.Com). Be warned: the stairs are rather narrow, and this B&B is actually on the... More

This is a really nice place to stay. The location is great, close to everything. Paola and Rudolpho are amongst the friendliest, nicest hosts I have had the pleasure to stay with. If I get back to Madrid it will be my first choice as long as I am fit enough to climb the stairs"

A delightful B&B - full of character and great attention to detail Paolo and Rodolfo are amazing hosts - friendly, helpful and really interesting to chat with. The location is also perfect, we were able to walk everywhere. I can't recommend highly enough. If you go to Madrid you must stay here - it will make your stay!

I really enjoyed staying here. Rudolph and his wife were great and very helpful. I really enjoyed speaking with Rudolph about the city and other experiences he's had as an innkeeper over the years. The room itself was well-appointed and clean, and the ensuite bathroom was a nice touch as well. The location of the B&B is excellent. There are... More

It is very hard to give a score for this lovely B&B. It is in a wonderful location, very central to everything, on a pedestrian street and very quiet. The hosts, Paola and Rodolfo, could not do enough for us and for everyone who stays there. The rooms are decorated individually and with style. Unfortunately the room (4) was too... More

My family arrived quite jet lagged and Rudolfo was amazing. He is a wonderful host who listens to your interests and suggests great restaurants and sites to see. Madrid can be loud on weekend nights, but I found this hotel to be quiet. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The location is nearly ideal. Just a few blocks downhill... More

Calling it a B&B doesn't really cover it - this is a micro hotel, with spacious, comfortable rooms and a lovely communal breakfast area featuring the best breakfast I've ever had on a trip - Rudolfo made us cheese toasties, lots of coffee and home baked goods every day, as well as providing loads of tips on where to eat... Very unique and special B&B in great central location and what is most important with a fantastic host. Paola and Rodolfo welcome you like you are an old friend and make you feel really like at home. Rooms are tastefully decorated in a Spanish rustic style. The whole place is sparkling clean, WIFI is included and works extremely good. The... More

We stayed here in February for three nights. At check in we were given a map by Rudolfo and he told us how to find our way in Madrid, we felt welcome right away because of the friendliness. The room is not very big but big enough and fully equipped with air-conditioning and a fan, very clean and a great... More

Wow.....amazing! The artistic is the best B&B I have ever seen, and I've seen several. First of all, Paola and Rudolfo are the most friendly B&B owners I've ever met. The are really interested in people. We had great conversations at breakfast with them and the other, friendly guests. Also they give us lots of information. The location is very... More

Staying in Huertas

Neighborhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighborhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighborhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
