Have to warn all travelers to this Hotel that while my stay in April 07, they had no A/C the room temperature reached 90 F, when the Hotel Reception was questioned why warm air came through the ventilation vent, they simply answered that they only turn the AC on in the summer. I ask for a fan, they had none.... More

The hotel is very cheap for a 5 star hotel I paid only 99 Euros plus VAT. But when I checked out I paid over 150 Euros for the minibar and the parking. The hotel is in the north of Madird. Its a tipical congress hotel. We went outside because the room service is very expensive. The couple of restaurants... More

I stayed at the Melia Castilla for 2 nights with a conference and overall the stay was not that great. The hotel has a grand entrance, however quite dated, similar to a Vegas casino from the 70s. The staff is not overally helpful. The rooms have peeling wallpaper and the first night due to an inoperable toilet we requested a... More

We stayed here for 4 nights for a conference, and we regret it. The staff may be multi-lingual, but their arrogance and rudeness translates into any language. For example, we asked the concierge to please mail some postcards for us, and asked to pay him for the cost of the stamps; we found out later he got a nice little... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It never deserved the 5 stars, more 4 star standard. The hotel is something from 1970, at least the rooms look like. The staff is very arrogant and not very helpful. Already in the first night one tupe broke down and the whole bathroom was under water. At least we could say... More

Great rooms at the Melia Castilla in the Northern part of Madrid. The hotel is located in a predominantly business areas of Madrid with eay access to both the airport and the city centre. Rooms are extremely well appointed and the multi-lingual staff are very helpful. Breakfast buffet was 20 Euros and had everything you could wish for from scrambled... More

This is a nice full service hotel. Plenty of options for eating. If you are lucky enough to get on the premier floors that include evening cocktails, continental breakfast and richly appointed rooms you will not be disappointed. I think these are generally for their loyalty club members as upgrades. I paid for mine. The "regular rooms" are also very... More

I stayed at the Melia Castilla for a conference the beginning of December. It has many of the amenitites you expect from a 5-star hotel, including a pillow menu! The rooms were very large and clean--as well as the bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable and the staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. My only complaints were the... More

I stayed at the Melia Castilla with my mom and younger brother during spring break. I would suggest taking a taxi to and from the airport to the hotel because they to do not provide an airport shuttle. The approximate cost was 18-euros one way. This hotel was on the outskirts of Madrid. However, we walked about 5-blocks to the... More
