Okay I might have exaggerated, it's not at all like staying at grandmas house. Grandma would have a candy dish out as well as a nicely maintained home. The hotel Asturias is more like staying at your 80 year old grandfathers house, 15 years after grandma passed. The rooms are poorly maintained with paint chipping, dirty walls, moldy shower curtains... More

The hotel is located in the city center. You don't expected to much from two star hotel, but you get just enough to stay and relax, it's really god value for money. My recommendation- preferably staying in the room on the 4th or 5th floor, because it's very busy street (even at 3am).

You get what you pay for. Cheap price and in a great central location. Ideal for stag/hen nights or budget travelling. I wouldn't take my partner on an anniversary trip there.......not if I wanted to see another anniversary! Don't bother getting up for breakfast! Staff friendly and hotel clean. I've stayed in a lot worse!

The hotel is located in the city centre, walking distance to Puerta del Sol and Sevilla tube station but I am afraid that's all. The hotel should be closed for a whole renovation... we stayed for 3 nights in Room 601 and it has been the worst room we have ever stayed, very dated with no water pressure in the... More

I stayed in this hotel 3 weeks ago. I found it very good for the position, it s 200 metres from Puerta del sol, the main square of madrid, from here you can reach all the monuments, attractions and the Gran Via, the main Street of the town with the shops. Inside, the rooms are very old and sad, sometimes... More

Stayed on Nov 17, 2013. Excellent location, right on the center of the city. Other than great location and value, this hotel is pretty aged. You have to check out a hair dryer from the front desk and return it in an hour for other guests to use. If you are just looking for a place to sleep. this is... More

This hotel was great for what we wanted (group of 10 on a stag do), it is very central, close to lots of bars, cheap and very close to the metro station which is a very efficient way to travel Madrid. Approx. £120 a night between 2 (twin room). The decor is very dated and worn. The hotel was clean... More

I stayed at this hotel a couple weeks ago. Like everyone else has said, the rooms are old, the beds are really hard & pillows are flat, there is no free wifi and it's really noisy. But on the positive side, the rooms are cheap and the location is great. I am not one to spend much time in my... More

Currently staying at the hotel with my husband. It's awful. Centrally located which is great, but that's it!!! Staff member was not too welcoming. Hotel is old and smelly. Room was old, smelt stale. Bed not comfortable. No free wifi, 6euro for 1hr and 12euro for 24hrs...why would I want to pay that!! Cafés all around the hotel offer free... More
