I booked this hotel online while looking for a reasonable hotel close to Nuevos Ministerios station in Madrid. It was the closest one with available rooms. This hotel is just average. The room was clean but the bed was hard, the pillows uncomfortable, and the towels were thin and stiff. It doesn't have a very modern interior either. I only... More

The rooms are a decent size, and the breakfast is ok. However, the dinner at the restaurant is not good quality. Also, a customer was given a room key to a room which was already occupied, the gentleman walked into a room with a semi-naked lady already in there! When a hotel can't control its booking system and you think... More

Moderate hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast ok. It is located in an interesting area, the metro stop is just outside hotel - very convenient, and close to Chamartin train station. Not a fancy hotel but good value for the price, meets all our needs. We had a three share room which was clean with adequate facilities, and even with the... More

Madrid is a popular city with a wide range of hotels. We booked This hotel only one week before our stay, for the weekend of Euroleague Final four taking place at the same time with San Isidro Festival. You can easily guess almost all hotels were booked and prices were very high. Then we found Exe Puerto Castilliano, for a... More

Pros: -very good location - subway, train station, airport close to the hotel. -gym included in the price. -lots of restaurants around. Cons: -air conditioning was not so effective. -loudly surrounding. -gym is very small. -food for breakfast is not as diverse as in other hotels.

I booked this hotel for a two days business trip as it was the recommended hotel from the organizers. The location is very easy to find (it is just next to the metro station and on the big Castellana avenue. A ride to the center by metro takes 20 to 30 minutes. The neighborhood of course is not very interesting.... More

The Hotel it is not in a prime location, maybe in the future with the enlargement of Paseo de la Castellana will, but not now. The Hotel entrance and very specially if you arrive at night, its kind of scary, from the road till the entrance of the hotel is a dark zone, with people seated in the floor and... More

Many Camino walkers begin their trip with a railway journey from Madrid to Sarria. Trains depart from Chamartin station which is NOT Madrid's main railway hub. If you're looking for a hotel close to Chamartin, Hotel Exe Puerta Castilla is highly recommended. It's about 3 blocks from the station, modern, bright, clean, good amenities, good breakfast. For us, it was... More

This hotel is very clean, quiet, and has a great location! It is away from old town but right along the Metro line. You can take #1 to Prodo or #10 to old town for 1.5 Euro. You can not find this quality hotel in the crowded downtown.

Me and my wife chose Puerta Castilla hotel very quickly while planning our blitz visit to meet our family members staying in a Tetuan hotel. After all, we found we made the right choice: the price was moderate, the location optimal and the service good. One of Plaza de Castilla metro entrances is situated some 20 meters from the hotel...
