this is a basic safe neighbourhood 2 star hotel close to the business district and airport but with 4 star prices the downside the rooms were old and the sheets had holes in them. For example no shaver sockets in the bathroom, shower head broken, piano bar menu very limited etc. really quite basic. overall very expensive for what it... more

This is an acceptable hotel for someone who just needs an overnight stop in Madrid before an airport flight out and who isn't interested (or is too tired) to sightsee. It’s a large, rather gaudy conference hotel that had multiple events going on while we were there. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from the train station by cab,... more

The free shuttle bus never arrived and we had to pay 30€ for a taxi. Reception staff were not interested and gave no explanations. Answered the phone constantly throughout the whole check in. Room was very noisey and the bed was very very hard. Breakfast and restaraunt were good and tea was hot and strong Would not recommend this hotel more

The Melia is very close (10-15 minutes) to the airport, and that may be its best asset. It is an "older" hotel inside with the charm of an old-fashioned lounge (old clocks; antique furniture on display). Service and staff were prompt and courtous. The rooms were comfortable. IThe hotel offfers two free internet stations. It also offers pick up and... more

After several days travel and staying in several different hotels, this was our last night in Spain. The was a great way to leave the country! This hotel is very near the airport, with a free shuttle offered! The rooms are large and very comfortable--we got a great rate on an internet special for only 70 euros! We would definetly... more

I was quite surprised to read that all the reviews for this hotel were negative. Me and 3 others went for a 5 day trip to Madrid. The hotel is much closer to the airport than it is to the centre of Madrid, but the metro is a 15 minute walk and about another 15 minutes on the metro. So... more

I have stayed several times in this hotel over the last years. When the hotel opened it was first class, but now it looks shabby. The staff is just not interested in you as a client. You can sit for ever in the bar and nobody pay any attention. Breakfast- cold coffee and cold tea, waitress had holes on her... more

A hotel that looks good but with lousy service. The room was for midgets (we used one of the on line reservations companies). If you open the fridge, just to see what is inside, there is a charge. The safety deposit box did not work. The TV was not working but they manage to repair it as well as the... more

The only reason to stay in this area is if you have business nearby, as it is basically an airport hotel. There is a metro station 15 mins walk away through a pleasant park. It is a long metro ride into the city, or a 20 euro taxi ride. The hotel has no charm. The main feature of the lobby... more

The hotel room at this hotel that we stayed in was reeking with the smell of smoke. We only paid 75 Euros per night but this was not good value for the money. Cigarette smoke everywhere - even the lobby. Worst hotel I've stayed in on our whole Europe trip. The bathroom was clean, though. more
