the staff was excellent - very helpful. the rooms were surprisingly large and roomy. the king-sized bed was comfortable. i love the bathroom - its a 5-star bathroom! it was very clean, and clean-smelling. it had a complete toiletry kit for guests that i haven't seen in a hotel in a long while - aside from the customary lotion and... more

Good location - about a 15 minute taxi into the true centre of Madrid. Perfect hotel to stay at if you want to go and watch a Real Madrid gama at the Bernabau (10/15 minute walk). Loads of taxis around hotel and close to metro station. Room fine but 2 single beds - no major issue. Internet is very expensive... more

Hotel is rather non-descript, but is clean! The location is excellent--very short walk to the metro. The northern train station of Chamartin is very close (use this train station if planning a day trip to Segovia). We stayed in the room with our daughter, a little cramped, but okay. Breakfast was decent--quite a variety. more

I stayed here for one night while away on business. The hotel is siuated in a convenient area close to the central bus station and near the underground. I had a 5th floor room and found it to be a little on the small side. Although it contained all the usual expectations (desk, mini bar, TV etc) everything was packed... more

I stayed at this hotel for one week on a business trip. Here's the good and the bad: Good Location-wise it was perfect - close to my office, the airport and next door to the bus and metro stations (Madrid on the whole has an excellent urban transport system). Plasma screen TV & wireless internet in rooms. Large bathrooms w/... more

Stayed on business for four nights, in what must be the smallest single room for this class of hotel in the known world. Hotel was full (so they must be doing plenty right!) so no better room could be offered. Restaurant has a pretentious dinner menu with few choices, and was virtually deserted - not surprising. I ate there just... more

First time in Madrid and stayed in this hotel per a Spanish friend's recommendation. We were pleased with the location, not in the center of Madrid but close enough where the Metro line across the street from the hotel can take u downtown in 15 mins. It was great as we were away from the hustling bustling of tourists and... more

Stayed at the Castilla Plaza for one night on a business trip. The hotel is easily accessible from the airport - I was in my room within 30 minutes of leaving the airport by taxi - though the location is somewhat distant from the city centre and the main tourist areas. However, metro services to the nearby Plaza de Castilla... more

Stayed here on business and although I spent hardly any time there it seemed a very nice modern hotel, with lovely room and bathroom. more

I stayed at the abba Castilla for a 7 day business trip in Madrid the last week in June. The room was nice, but small. Enough room for just one person. There is a bed, small refridgerator, television, phone, desk (wireless internet access for a fee), ample closet space, and a good sized bathroom (the bathroom may have more room... more
