I'm a Platinum Marriott traveler and booked two rooms as the rate was very attractive for Europe and this hotel had better reviews than the Courtyard. Only complaint was breakfast was not included as a Platinum member it usually is always included. Rooms were nice, wifi worked great. Shower was strange but showered was great. Had drinks in the bar... More

We were so pleased with this hotel. Located very close to Atocha Train Station. The front desk, restaurant and bar associates were all so friendly and helpful. Any questions we had they answered without hesitation. We ate in the bar area about 3 times, never waited long. Food was great. Service was awesome. We ate in the restaurant on New... More

My 19 year old daughter and her roommate decided to spend their Christmas break visiting a college friend in Portugal. The trio decided they wanted to visit Madrid for a couple of days while they were there. She explained to me that they would just "find a Hostel" when they got there to stay for a couple of days. I... More

A little outside from the center of Madrid but taxis were easy to get and it only took 5 to 10 minutes to get anywhere in Madrid. Hotel and staff were great but other places in Madrid were not very acomodating if you didn't speak Spanish. Tipping is not as customary as in the USA. One taxi driver tried to... More

We really enjoyed this cosy hotel. The atmosphere is like you are at home. Lady at the check in was very helpful in explaining is the tourists places to visit, and provided us a room on the higher floor. Rooms are small, but in a eye catching style. We were also delighted to see a good variety of bread and... More

Stayed hear for 10 days while visiting my son on his study program. It was close to the train station and lots of good eats. We were a short walk away from the subway. Very easy to get in and out. Loved our room. Nice lobby bar. The staff was nice and overall a good place. No air in the... More

I've stayed here a couple times on business trips to Madrid. The AC Carlton is not in a flashy part of town, but the proximity to Atocha and the 10-15 minute walk to get north of the Ronda Atocha where there is more restaurant and nightlife makes it a decent choice for both business and tourism. I also think it... More

I was surprised to see that the Marriott has such a low end hotel in Madrid as part of the "collection" of hotels there. It feels like a low end Marriott Courtyard. The location is not very nice and I did not feel safe arriving late at night from the airport.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was overall a very good experience. The hotel has a nice location - easy walking distance to the Atocha railway station and the Reina Sofia museum, and a little longer walk to the Prado. I liked the design and amenities in our room, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast spread... More

The hotel is two blocks from the Atocha train station and a 26-minute train trip to Madrid's principal airport. The area near the hotel is commercial with many tapas restaurants. We stayed in the hotel twice in November 2015 -- once in a "superior" room and once in a "guest" room. The superior room was fine -- spacious, modern bathroom,... More
