Location: bad. Supposedly easy access from/to Railways station of Atocha. Also far away from all tourist attractions. Front Desk: They seemed to have an attitude and were not friendly as they were/looked overwhelmed and/or understaffed. Cleaning crew: Polite and very efficient. Breakfast: Amazing job by the Maitre and his staff. All items served are of great quality. By far the... More

When we were awarded this hotel, on one of the websites that doesn't reveal the name, we were quite upset as we looked at the reviews. At first, the location of the hotel is perceived as horrible, but after a few days, it really grew on our family. It is not a 4 star, as most of the hotels in... More

We stayed in this hotel four nights at the end of a long trip around Andalucia. It is registered as a four-star hotel, but really it should be three. In other words, ok but not great. The rooms are warm and clean, but the beds are on the poorer-end. The amenities are basic, and the desk staff so-so in providing... More

The hotel is in a very good location, 10 minute walk from the Atocha train station which you can get to from the airport. For those complaining of walking far distances i wouldnt consider a 10 minute walk to parks and museums that much..especially in such a lovely city with so much culture to see! We stayed in Madrid 5... More

Our room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. It was heated well, that was important because it was cold outside. The staff was polite and helpful. However, be prepared for a long walk to the center of town. And its a ten minute walk to the metro. Also a minimum ten minute walk to the nearest cafe or grocery store. More

The hotel is nice enough, clean and pretty good service. The only issue Is it's not as centrally located as many others, meaning you'll either be walking a good bit to get to attractions or taking taxis with frequency(as we did). More

the hotel is good. staff are very helpful with maps n directions where to go and what to do. but the hotel, a communisim style building is over rated for 4 stars. 3 is pretty good the rooms are spacious and so is the bathroom. both are clean and has a minibar which many hotels in the same category throughout... Nice and clean hotel, with pleasant service who speak fluent English but not really close to anything. 15 min walk to Reina Sofia museum and Atocha station. Try walking that 5 times a day just to get to the first cafe and you'll see what I mean. At Reina Sofia cafe there is free wifi access since it is not... More

Generally, a good enough hotel especially if you're just looking for a place to sleep for a night or two, but not the best choice for a long-stay tourist or someone looking for a lot of services. Location is very good--close to public transport, Prado not too far to walk, restaurants nearby--and rooms are good sized. Rooms are a little... More

We stayed here on our initial tour with Trafalgar. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It located close to the train station, but far from the city center and all the good eats. When we arrived we asked from some where to eat and ended up walking away from the city center and got... More
