The room is great and clean. It's about 5 min walk from the Atocha station. 15 min walk to El Prado and Thyssen museums. Staff are helpful and friendly. The room is spacious and decently quiet. The beds are very comfortable with extra pillows. Plenty electric outlets and stable wifi. Awesome 4-star hotel with a tasty price.

Location is only good if you're planning to visit the prado museum, retiro park and atocha station. Its not anywhere near to plaza mayor or RM Stadium or Las ventas bullring. You need to take a train or bus to get to your destination. Room was dark and very small. The bathroom warm water doesn't seem to work. Breakfast was... More

Our tour group spent 2 nights here and I would come back again. Our room had a sweet little (small) French balcony overlooking the street and our room was surprisingly quiet. The room was spacious and the furnishings were fine, the common areas were well maintained and the staff was courteous. It is an older property with both the charm... More

We booked into this hotel for 1 night when we went to Madrid by train to see One Direction in concert. We wanted somewhere within walking distance of the train station and this fit the bill perfectly. Its about a 10 minute walk. Typical city centre hotel with quite small rooms but this is to be expected, our room had... More

Old, dark and musty, this hotel would struggle to reach 3 stars. My room on the first floor looked out onto a brick internal courtyard which gave almost no natural light or fresh air. Taking the key out of the slot to leave the room left it in total darkness at any time of the day or night. Plumbing noises... More

The hotel is a typical centre hotel. Located on a busy but very large road close to the Atocha train station, not far from the Prado or the Botanical Garden. My room was quite spacious (i have not seen other rooms) and the bed is very confortable (mine was a king size). Free WiFi but you have to pay for... More

You stay here for one of several reasons: your tour group bus has plenty of space out front to pick you up, you're on an expense account and don't mind paying for wifi or overpriced breakfast, you're leaving from Atocha station early the next morning and you want to be within walking distance. We were in the last category. The... More

The Hotel Agumar was a comfortable hotel to begin my daughter's and my trip with Globus. The hotel was clean and the breakfast buffet was nice. The staff was helpful. We arrived a day early before our tour started the next day. I highly recommend doing this!

Agumar is a nice clean place with a friendly staff who spoke very little English Their breakfast bar was very good with a lot of variety Only complaint was the one cup at a time coffee maker I would recommend this place .

Like a previous reviewer of the Hotel Agumar titled their review "Perfectly average" I think is spot on. Nothing wrong, or terribly wrong, and nothing outstanding. If you want a decent hotel, with decent beds, wifi and a decent breakfast...in a good location next to Atocha, then this is the place. Highlights: Three awesome coffee machines in the breakfast area...I... More
