At less than $100 USD a night, this was a good deal. The hotel is in a good location, right near the Prado, Reina Sofia, etc. A little away from all the craziness of the Puerta Del Sol and Plaza Mayor, but not too far away either. The bathroom is nice, and we had a nice little balcony, and the... more

We picked this hotel from the internet because of its proximatey to the Atoche Rail Station, as we were traveling on the fast train to Seville from that station. The hotel was very clean and the room was comfortable. For a large city we thought the cost was reasonable - ~$85.00 for a room with two twins. The bathroom was... more

Clean and tidy rooms, no coffee making facilities though, that were excellent value for the price we paid, get a outside facing room as some of the internal are only thin studded walled, noisey. Breakfast good variety and plentiful.Drinks and food a bit dearer than the norm, if you fancy a night cap there is a bar 150 meters up... more

Having stayed in the excellent Las Cortes, moving to the Agumar was rather depressing. There's nothing really wrong about it, although the lobby smelled of stale food. The room was OK, although there are no doubles, and the soundproofing not perfect. The hotel is away from the centre, 10/15 minutes walk along a busy road. It's the kind of place... more

Very well located with easy access to the brilliant Madrid Metro. This hotel is worth all its stars, though food and drinks there are astonishingly expensive, even by Madrid standards. I doubt there are many nicer hotels at the room rate. more

the hotel is situated in a great spot to see Madrid. 10 - 15 mins away from the park and 20 mins away from shopping. The hotel was very clean and the staff hotel were very helpful. Buses and the metro just 2mins away. more

Yes the lobby was nice and the food was alright the rooms on the other hand could use a makeover. I did not spend any time in other hotels in Madrid but in all the hotels we visited they were all in the same star rating but I would say this place definetly needs to update the rooms! more

Firstly the hotel staff were without exception superb. The service was second to none here and 24hr if you felt inclined. The hotel was fairly comfortable though, as often with city hotels I found the room a bit small. Sheets and towels changed, beds made daily, clean bathroom and shower basically everything you'd expect but with an extra smile. Food... more

The Hotel Agumar in Madrid Spain has an amazing lobby/restaruants, very fancy. The rooms however are another story. They are clean, but very outdated, the best part were the bathrooms. I didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurants, but after looking at the prices I am glad I didn't. Will cost you about Euro30 to take a cab... more

If you are looking for a Hotel that is a 10 min Taxi/30 min walk just outside the city centre that in my opinion the Agumar is about perfect. Hotel staff, all spoke great English - friendly. Room was clean and quite - again not that normal in Madrid. I paid 96 euros for the night. If you do stay... more
