Had an overnight in Madrid and stayed here one night. It was centrally located and had a wonderful staff. Very helpful and informative. Rooms were large and clean with comfortable beds. The coffee bar in the lobby was nice to have and they also have a cool rooftop deck to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend.

Stayed at this smart hotel for my 30th birthday. The room was pristine and we'll presented and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The wall socket came right off the wall and a quick phone call to reception to tell them resulted in a very nice Spanish main came up to fix it in no time. He couldn't speak... More

I love this hotel. It is located just right beside Lefties shop and between Gran Via and Callao metro stations, walkable distance to all the historical sites and has free wifi. I had a room overlooking Gran Via. I had a wonderful stay and would choose this if i come back.

We stayed here as part of the two week trip around Spain. Upon arrival we asked if we wanted to upgrade to a suite for 10 euros per night which we decided to do. It was well worth it with a room on the seventh floor overlooking the grand via. Room was x,earn spacious very comfortable. Bathroom was well stocked.... More

Excellent location just off Gran Via - walking distance to Plaza del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Prado, Thyssen Bournemizza, the palace. Half-way between Callao and Gran Via metro stations on the north side of Gran Via - so, it is easy to get to, although metro from the airport will require two changes of metro lines, with some steps to negotiate.... Hotel is 250 m from metrostation gran via. We had room 618. Very quiet, no noise from the street or from other guests. The room was spacious with a fantastic view on the northern districts of Madrid. Very good Airco (41°on the street during our stay ) Big clean bathroom. Fantastic breakfast with all sorts of bread, cake, fresh fruit... More

I’d stayed here two years previously for a reasonable price in a very small room with a view of an ugly inner courtyard but could remember beautiful views of the city from various windows in the stairwell and corridors. And since we were able to book a great discount for a last minute room, I decided to show my husband... More

I stayed for 3 nights for a business trip. Unfortunately I came back covered in bites which turned out to be bedbug bites. Still suffering after a week being back. There were so many bites, that this must be a major infestation rather than a loan marauder. It's a pretty basic obligation of a hotel to root out bedbugs before... More

Centrally located on a side street off Gran Via almost across the street from its sister hotel TRYP GRAN VIA. Breakfast is always good and normally good room prices are available. Even if alone --try to get an outside room for 2 facing the street. Inside rooms and especially Single rooms are depressing -- morbid and a feel of what... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
