The location is perfectly centric, close to metro stations, shopping opportunities and restaurants. The room was rather small, but the love to detail of the staff was great. Every afternoon they left a small "merienda" (Spanish in-between-lunch-and-dinner-snack), very nice detail.

It is located very close to Gran Via, and it is in a quiet place. The lobby is nice, modern, and you can have free coffee there. There are many restaurants and stores around My room was very small, but well kept and modern. The only con is that the bed was like a rock; the mattress was quite uncomfortable.... More

The hotel had an excellent location. We were able to walk to a lot of attractions. Check-in was efficient. Wifi worked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was excellent. The room also had a small balcony which I loved. I don't watch a lot of TV but I noticed that it provided a lot of... More

This place has a wonderful, prime location in Madrid, in a middle of everything, literally! Gran Via and 300m away from Madrid's famous Puerta Del Sol, shopping, dinning and so much more!! Tryp Madrid Cibeles has, like any other place no only in Madrid but around the World, its god and bed sides. But, you would have to agree with... More

It's a great hotel right in the center of the Grand Via but the entrance is located on a side street. If you are planning to stay at this hotel look for the exact location in a map so that you don't get lost trying to find it since the hotel does not have an outside sign on the Grand... More

This is a well located 1st Class Hotel. The address is a side street but it is really on Grand Via and our room had a nice view of that busy shopping street. It is near Plaza del Callao and a short walk to the Opera, Puerta del Sol and Plazas Espana & Mayor. Our room was clean, nicely decorated... More

I was allocated a single room, but it was sooooooooooo small that it barely qualified to be called any more than a cell. The window looked out on to a wall and Windows, about 5 metres away. The bed was just about a single. Rarely seen such a badly designed bathroom, with the toilet roll unreachable to anyone but a... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It was in the main centre of Madrid with lots of activity and people. It had some really nice restaurants in the area, and was accessible to train stations and bus stops. The security guard downstairs was very helpful, but not so for reception and the waiters at breakfast. The hotel was... More

This hotel is located on a busy street, near stores and restaurants. We appreciated the small refrigerator (mini bar). The only meal we had here was breakfast which was included in our 3 night stay. Breakfast offerings were OK, good selection of fruits, breads, scrambled eggs, juices, cereals, etc. There are only 2 small elevators, so when a large group... More

I stay in Melia hotels when I can and found this to be an excellent location right on Gran Via, in a safe location and with very helpful staff. Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
