Was told Breakfast was included. Then at hotel they said no (It was not on the email they sent....my mistake). Breakfast was not really worth the $20 USD but was OK. We were a couple with grown daughter. Got a "family room". Very different but nice. Daughter had bunkbeds. If she was 10, it would have been really neat. Good... more

I recently stayed at the Hotel Tryp Cibeles just off the Gran Via and have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised. After having read some of the other reviews of it on here before I went I had some apprehension. The hotel couldn't be in a better location to accessing the best parts of Madrid on foot, the... more

Ok first things first. I got a really good rate for this room and am a member of the Melia programme so might have got a better room than the other reviewers here (but I doubt it!) The room was BIG, The bed really large and very comfortable. The bathoom was decent size (I brough my own products so the... more

While the room was large and clean, this was the worst hotel stay in our lives, especially for the money. Service was horrible, room service non-existent, conflicting stories on internet access. Access was horrible because of construction, and don't go two doors over away from the main street as you will be on hooker row. more

We stayed here in jan 08 as one of the stops on our honeymoon. We returned one day after sightseeing to find all our cash taken form the hotel safe. We had locked the safe and chosen our own pin number, so whoever did this was definetly staff!. I have sent numerous emails to the hotel manager and to the... more

On the positive side, we found a good deal and the hotel is very central. The negative side: the service is pretty bad for a 4* hotel. - The hall is pretty small and there is only 1 person at the frontdesk. If other guests are talking to the recepcionist at that moment, the minimum wait for being served is... more

Of all the three-star and four-star hotels my family stayed at during a recent European trip, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel the most. The location is outstanding. It is half a block off the Gran Via. It is a two-clock walk to the Callao metro station, but we didn't use it as we walked to every major tourist... more

What a great location right in the center of Madrid. The entrance is on a side street that was not very clean but once you are in the hotel it is very nice. Very quiet room overlooking an atrium. Don't miss the roof top views of Madrid. more

I booked this hotel, following the many positive reviews I had read on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. On arrival at Madrid airport, take the Metro (2 Euros) to Puerto del Sol and the Gran Via is straight in front of you with El Cortes Ingles to your left We spent 4 nights at this hotel during April and... more

The hotel is really in the center of Madrid - walking distance to everywhere! I don't think we used the metro once. The accomodations are basic and the room and the bathroom are very small but clean. The view from our room was beautiful. The hotel also has a fantastic breakfast buffett that kept us full all day long. Overall,... more
