This Hotel is in a great central location near 3 Metro stations. The staff are very helpful, and the Hotel is clean and the breakfast very good. There is a building site opposite but no work at weekends. Taxi from airport is set price or 30 euros.

Our last night on a 10 days tour of south of spain. We chose this hotel based on good revies and location. Check in was fast, we got a nice room, comfortable , everything in order, facing a local street, not busy with trafic, but there were works on building foundations across the street, noise of drilling, but it did... The hotel is in a quiet side street. A little away from the main sights. It is close to the Gran Via, the metro (Plaza Espanol) and the Royal Palace. Good price / performance ratio. The fast wi-fi in the room. The breakfast is simple but good. Those who walk with difficulty, facing hotel closer to the center (eg. Puerta... More

We used madrid as our "base" during our vacation. So convenient that Cason allowed us to leave our things so we can travel light. Downside was that there was no airconditioning when we were there so we had to open the windows. Staff were friendly and helpful with bookings, directions, etc. Plaça Espanya was a skip away. Same with major... More

Located in a small street very close to Plaza De Espana Metro station, this is a great location for tourists. It is no distance to Gran Via, the main shopping drag, and the a royal Palace. We walked almost everywhere, the only exceptions being The Plaza De Toros (bullring) and Bernabeu football Stadium. Metro travel is easy and not expensive... More

the staff were exceptionable, being so helpful and pleasant They all spoke English and were able to show on a map how to get to varios places. There was some building work going on in front of the hotel but the noise level was acceptable as it didn't start until after 9am and finished at 6pm

Amazing location! It is just behind the plaza de espana. They serves also fantastic breakfast. The neighborhood is very convenience, near to a lot of nice restaurants and shops. Staffs are all friendly and helpful. The only problem for us may be the wall of the hotel seems too thin so we could hear noise from our neighbors sometimes. 地理位置不错,非常方便。周围有很多很好的餐馆。早餐很丰盛,唯一的问题可能是强有点薄,有时候可以听见邻居说话。

We chose this hotel based on reviews of closest economical hotels to Plaza España because we were to join a tour there. Spent 2 nights before tour and decided to stay again one night after based on positive experience. It is located on a quiet street near shopping, eating, and interesting places. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
