We stayed for 2 nights & were delighted with the location, cleanliness, service & comfort. This is real value for money & we would recommend it to anyone wanting a great mid-range hotel as it's way better than most. more

After reading other reviews we were a bit aprehensive, but decided to book it anyway because the price was extremely reasonable compared to other hotels. We were very happy we did! The reception staff could not do enough for you, really friendly and helpful; the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn't really have any problems with... more

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Cason del Tormes from the 14 May to 18 May 2009. We found this to be an excellent hotel for our short stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the staff were very polite and spoke reasonable English. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The hotel was situated conveniently central, close to... more

Cason del Tormes barely deserves three stars. The location is excellent, and the service is nice, but apart from that, del Tormes is very average. Room was cold, dated and not very charming. Wireless will cost you 5 euros for 24 hours, which I think is ok. Other reviews emphasize the thin walls, they're quite right. more

This hotel is highly rated on tripadvisor (ranked 24th at time of review), but that surprised me a little. However, if you are looking for good value and friendly service then it's probably the hotel for you. Yes, it's got a good location, right behind Plaza De Espana and Gran Via, but there are countless hotels in this area. However... more

Hotel Cason Del Tormes is an excellent little hotel at the top of the Gran Via .The staff are friendly and speak good English and very helpful for information and advice. Had booked a single room but got a twin room at no extra charge!!. Rooms and bathroom were spotless clean and was more than big enough for my needs... more

Cason del Tormes is a well located hotel just 5 minutes walk from the Royal palace , Grand via and Plaza Espana , It is located on a little road off the Grand via with not much traffic as its a one way only street and has a dead end at the bottom. Ask at reception to recommend the restaurant... more

Excellent location easy to reach everywhere from by tube (metrobus) or Madrid Vision (open top tour bus : Euro 16 for 1 day or Euro 20 for 2 days). Also easy to reach from the airport (5 stops on the pink line no. 8; then 4 stops on the blue line no. 10 to Plaza de Espana - about 30... more

I usually trust tripadvisor reviews, they are mostly spot-on. Not the case with the Cason del Tormes I'm afraid. If noise bothers you look elsewhere! I have never seen a hotel with such thin walls. I could hear my neighbor's conversation word for word. I could hear all the 4th floor construction when I tried to take a nap in... more

A good hotel located on a quiet street very close to Gran Via and within a short walk of the Royal Palace. The galleries are further away but if you don't want to walk the hotel is a five minute walk from the Plaza Espana metro station. Our bedroom and bathroom were a decent size and very clean and the... more
