This is my first trip to Madrid in over 20 years and I opted to bring my Grand daughter and her best friend for Spring Break (April 6-13). Sure the lovely 1 bedroom apartment was very "Ikea-ish" but lets face it...it was nice, comfortable, spacious, kept immaculately clean and where can you find a rental with a washer and dishwasher?... We took an appartment for 6 people (4c), despite being a family of four. We could enjoy a spacious living room while our children slept. The appartment was a spacious 2-bedroom with a generous kitchen- well equipped with every necessary apppliance including a dishwasher and washing machine. The furniture is indeed IKEA, but there was nothing wrong with having a... More

Fairly central and near to Tribunal metro station, good 15 minute walk to Gran Via and about 25 mins to Puerta del Sol. Some shops and supermarkets nearby, can be quite noisy at night though as Pacha nightclub round corner Apartment ideal for a couple of days stay, clean and fairly comfortable, beds very comfy but only 1 set of... First off, the location is great – we were able to walk everywhere, and enjoy walking, because a lot of old Madrid is pedestrianized. However, the apartment itself was a disappointment. We got off to a bad start because we arrived on an early flight from New York and had to kill three hours in a local café because nobody... More

My five friends and I did a European tour in late October and stayed at Madrid Central Suites. The apartment was exactly like in the photos. The hosts were friendly and great to deal with, offered us a lot of advice and tips on what to see and how to get around. Would highly recommend Madrid Central Suites to anyone... More

The pictures on their website provide an accurate view of what you are renting. Spotlessly clean and well equipped, the property is well located with the Tribunal metro station, bus stops and a taxi stand all within 100 meters from the front door. One can also walk via Calle Fuencarral all the way to Puerta del Sol as the route... More

Stayed in a 2 room apartment for 2 nights. Very close to the subway/metro. Walking distance to tourist attraction. Very good value of money. The staff was great and very helpful. As the staff also not a local people. She gave good advice on the place that we should go. Great choice of shopping nearby.

This September 2011 is my third trip to Madrid in a span of two years. All these trips were housed at the Madrid Central Suites in callle Apodaca 5, which is perpendicular to calle Fuencarral. It has been transformed to peatonal so walking and shopping is a delight. We stayed here for 10 days. We are a group of four... More

Super value, location, cleanliness, and service. 10-15 minute walk to Puerto del Sol. The bed was even kind to my stiff back.

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
