Equity point is really inexpensive, for only 12 € you can have a bed accomodation but, obviously, services are proportionate to the price (for example: small bathroom, poor breakfast..) . Anyway, the hostel is really close to Plaza Mayor and to the metro station, it's recommended to someone who wants to visit Madrid all day.

A couple of weeks ago I stayed at the Equity point hostel for a night before going back home. A friend told me it was a good hostel, close to the center and cheap. And it was what i found. The staff was nice and helpful, and the rooms were pretty much what you'd expect for the money you pay.... More

Abrupt service. Average rooms, lift are quite ancient and small. Location isn't too bad though. No WiFi in rooms, but available in common area. Common area and kitchen are very shabby. They have computers but you have to ask them to log you in and they let you in only for 20-30 mins.

The hostel is located in one of the best places of Madrid! Right in the center, you can do everything walking! The location itself makes the place worth, since is also cheap. If you can afford something a bit more expensive, I'd recommend that because the bathroom was really tight and the breakfast was really poor. The staff was regular,... More

On the bright side-It's 5 min walk from puerta del sol so you will be in centre of Madrid, good value, really clean ( sheets and towels) and friendly and helpfull staff. What was not so great is noise, I mean its a hostel so mainly young people who want to party- some will come back 2am some 6 am... More

The hostel itself is nice and a good breakfast, short but nicely made, central location and the price is great but the staff were very unfriendly and not prepared to be at a reception desk. The price was good though!!

If you have any common sense you will not choose this hotel! I stayed here for 4 nights in March 2014. PROs - Very centrally located, in close proximity to Puerta del Sol and Plaza Santa Ana. - Very cheap (really should have known what I was getting myself into) CONs - The room was more like a prison cell... This is a perfect stop if you are having plans to visit Madrid. The location is great, close but not to close to where things happen. It is just a short walk from the heart of Madrid and Spain. The breakfast is a bit chaotic but great

The Equity Point in not the best hostel in Madrid but is not all that bad. My experience wasn't bad, the price for the room was very cheap, the people who work there are very nice and the location is very good. I stayed in a 5 mixed room but I knew everybody there, so the fact that there is... More
