This hotel's best and possibly only recommending feature is the fact there is a metro stop right outside the front door. We were given room 224 on the second floor. After unpacking for our short trip we discovered the window was shuttered on the outside so the only view was of a fire escape. We had no idea what the... more

Your basic hotel. Very nice and very helpful desk staff. They went out of their way to be helpful with advice, phone calls, reservations, etc. Very good location. 5 minute walk to a pickup point for the Madrid tourist bus (which I strongly reccomend). Most of the guests appeard to be American and British tourists with some business folk mixed... more

First of all, someone made a conscious decision to color this hotel pink. I'm not being critical of this, just stating a fact which I find amusing. The exterior is pink. The lobby is painted pink with pink-striped chairs. Our room was painted pink and the bed had a pink striped comforter. The carpet was red which is basically dark... more

Just got back from trip to Hotel Santo Domingo, the hotel is clean, but I booked aa standard room and it was tiny. The price was not bad for a four star hotel, but this hotel was 3 stars at best. Apart from small rooms the decor was very old in terms of years. The hotel is in a descent... more

We spent 3 nights a the hotel. To our surprise the metro station is across the street. The room was very clean, cozy and the bathroom was big for European standards. I will definitely stay there again. more

Stayed for 2 nights. Impressive reception but the hotel looks poor from the outside and very tired. Reception were fine but the room we had (executive room) was supposedly the biggest they had but was an average double room. The main issues we had were the noise from outside ranging from loud music and shouting to lorries emptying bins in... more

This place is in a great location, the subway is across the street, walking distance to many tourist sites. It is safe. We stayed in March 2009 the climate control did not work, in our room, if this was summer it could have been pretty ugly with the heat. We opened the window at night to get cool fresh air.... more

The hotel foyer was exceptionally well decorated. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was buffet style with a very good selection. The room we had was a very large room and the bathroom had a jacuzzi in the bath which was amazing and very relaxing. Where the hotel is situated is a 5 minute walk to the... more

The hotel doesn't look great from outside, but when you step inside, you enter a completely different world. Even though I checked in during the middle of the night, the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The room wasn't huge, but was clean, comfortable and and well appointed. Most importantly it was both quiet and well air conditioned. The location... more

It is an OK Hotel, definitvely not a 4star hotel. The first night we stayed in room 207 which was very small and quite loud (window to a street with a police station). Complaining we got to 226, which was also small, not loud, but the bath smelled like cloaca, not marvelous for a 4 star. Location very good, service... more
