I don't really have alot to add to the other reviews, they are all spot on. This is an average hotel providing average rooms and average service. The rooms were just okay, clean, small and simply appointed. This hotel is all about location (which is great). You are right near Retrio Park and the sights. The bar and lounge is... more

After reading the poor review of this hotel I felt compelled to give my review. I stayed here with an Insight tour group of Spain and Portugal. The room was extremely clean and believe me I inspected every corner. The breakfast which was included with the tour was very good and the front desk staff was efficient, if not overly... more

This hotel is in a fantastic location, and this is the only reason I can see that they get away with cahrging ~£150 per night (excl. breakfast) for their basic rooms. The hotel itself is OK but nothing special. The bar is basic and has no atmosphere whatsoever. The breakfast is again acceptable, but nothing to write home about. My... more

Room was very basic, bathroom could do with a good bleach Walls paper thin - could hear next door's TV easily Reception staff not overly helpful, quite dismissive attitude Breakfast chaotic, only one person serving trying to do tea/ coffee, take room numbers and replenish buffet! Not a great recommendation bar it's in a good location so if it's near... more

I stayed here for 2 nights recently. The hotel staff was rude, the room was dirty with hair and food on the floor and in the bed, the breakfast was NOT included and outrageously expensive (a great breakfast at a fraction of the cost can be found directly across the street in a cafe), wireless internet service is NOT included,... more

I spent one night in a single room of this hotel in March 2007. The room was unclean: I saw crumbs and hair of previous customers on the floor and the furniture was heavily stained. The air conditioner did not work properly. The staff at the reception was unfriendly. I did not get what one can expect for the price... more

Nice property in a great location, so it's too bad the front desk staff are surly and/or rude so much of the time. Early coffee service promised in promotional materials had to be "ordered a day in advance." Management is sloppy and indifferent to guest service. Not what I expected from a 4 star hotel at this price. Other hotels... more

We enjoyed this hotel - convenient and modern. The metro stop (Verana) was a two minute walk away, and the cafe across the street was good. The rooms were well-maintained. more

Definately worth the 3 1/2 stars that have been given to this hotel. And it's location next to the Parque del Retiro makes it even better. The neighboorhood has lots of high-end shopping and great cafes. The rooms are spacious, clean and well designed. Check discount web-sites for the best deals on this hotel. more
