Overall the hotel was very good although the restaurant has only a limited menu for evening meal so did not use it. The noise level was very low considering the hotel is situated on a major road junction. I would certainly use this hotel again

Chose this hotel for its location to train station for a 1 night stay in Madrid. The rooms are fairly small but fresh and new. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom well laid out and light. Wi-fi a bit slow but ok for checking emails etc. Perfect location for a quick visit to this city.

We booked a room with view, kettle and more...The entire floor was just repaint. Sorry, but the smell of the glue gave me a huge headache! Great staff, looking for other NH- hotel, at same rate! Please, ventilate the floor and rooms.

Stayed here few weeks ago for weekend break with my sister. We were lucky and got one of the rooms which had been recently renovated. It was beautifully decorated and shower was a treat. The room has a nespresso coffee machine and cleaners did a great job. Our room looked over the botanical gardens. Breakfast was delicious with a great... More

This hotel is on the Paseo del Prado and within easy walking distance of most of the major museums, Atocha train station and some great places to eat. The hotel interior is stark, the public areas not particularly comfortable; the restaurant serves a very impressive breakfast ..... but so it should for €22! There is no gym, pool or spa.... More

Convenient for Atocha station, good breakfast buffet. Hotel undergoing renovation, refurbished rooms smart but small, and space poorly used (for example the washbasin and wardrobe areas are cheek by jowl). Despite the double glazing there was a lot of traffic noise from about 6am)

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights but mostly visitng the small towns out of Madrid. As such, I left early morning every day and did not have any breakfast there. The location was very good with various resturants nearby. And it is easy to walk to Atocha station and Metro. Room was small but clean. Typically 4 stars... More

Just stayed at this hotel 5 nights for a conference -booked the junior suite and was very well pleased - our stay was a pleasure from start to finish. Attentive staff, a very comfortable suite and the breakfast was excellent - The weather was unseasonably warm but we were comfortable, and although I think there was some street noise at... More

Great for Prada and Reine Sofia Galleries. Also nearby Atocha. Other attractions well within walking distance. Paid for upgrade to a suite which was well worth the money. Breakfast one of the best in the whole of Spain.

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighborhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
