This was my third stay at this hotel, the other two were two years earlier. Our room was clean and large enough to be comfortable for two travelers. The king sized bed (actually two doubles put together) was comfortable for sleeping and the street noise was hardly a problem. The air condition system worked well and the free WiFi connection... I stayed at this hotel for one night whilst visiting Madrid. The lobby is good as are the rooms that are well equipped and have a modern feel. Only miss for business travellers is the lack of ironing board/iron in the room. The room I had was small so if you are planning to relax in the room and don't... More

Although this hotel is a bit away from the 'centre of activities', it has allot going for it. They have very nicely decorated rooms, modern in style, Very comfortable beds, a great bathroom in the same modern style and complimentary colours, excellent staff, clean accommodations, free WiFi, free computer. There is good access to any part of town as there... More

The hotel is close enough to the city center: 20 minutes walk from the Puerta de Alcala, near the metro and buses, is located near Calle de Goya, where there are several shops and restaurants. Usually I choose hotels based on location, but lately I often happen to book NH hotels: the reason is that the value for money is... More

We stayed here for 4 nights the week leading up to Easter. Madrid was very busy with all the Easter processions etc so it was lovely to get back to our hotel which is situated in the quiet Salamanca area of the city to relax after a hectic days sight seeing. There are a few little tapas bars approximately a... More

I stayed in a superior room at the hotel which was great and worth paying the difference for - it had a balcony which was a welcome surprise. Very clean and tastefully decorated, comfortable bed and a good hairdryer in the bathroom. It takes a few minutes for the hot water to kick in for the shower - don't make... More

This hotel is perfectly reasonable for a business trip. The rooms are a little on the small side and the bathroom in my room was just a little battle worn but it was clean and serviceable. The breakfast was of a good standard and there's a bar for an evening drink. The staff were friendly and helpful. So, all told,... More

I stayed here with my husband for a night. The hotel is modern and clean, and nicely decorated. The bathrooms are great with huge walk in rainforest showers. The breakfast was not included, so we wanted to add since we've read the great breakfast review from Tripadvisor. Unfortunately the cafe open from 8:00 due to holiday, no early breakfast that... Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
