I regularly stay in this hotel for business and it is consistently of a very high standard. The rooms are clean and comfortable with large modern bathrooms, excellent showers and now even an expresso coffee machine. The breakfast buffet is fantastic (Jura coffee machine, freshly squeezed orange juice, iberic ham, churros etc) and the staff are professional and friendly. The... More

Stayed here for a weekend trip to Madrid with my wife. Excellent location in the trendy Barrio Salamanca which is great for shopping, bars and eating. Short walk from here to the Prado and the Parque de Retiro. Playa Mayor about 30 minute walk from here or 10 minutes in a cab. Hotel is nice with decent sized, comfortable rooms,... More

Great neighborhood hotel. Rooms are not big, but the decor and ambience are good. Shops in area are upscale. Close to Prado Museum, Atocha train station, and Retiro Park. Breakfast buffet is a beautiful sight with lots of options and artistically presented. Bartender got huffy with my traveling companion when she asked for vodka, and he didn't have any (not... More

Very good location - convenient to local shops, street is relatively quiet. The questionnaire seems to go on and on and on, etc.. About the only constructive suggestion I would offer would be that more attention could be given to lingering maintenance items. Nevertheless, the hotel staff members seem to try hard to do a good job.

The hotel is business, so amenities are reserved to a minimum. Located in very central and fashionable Salamanca district, close to great shops and restaurants. The breakfast buffet (at 14 euros) is very complete as to almost make it a full meal, including eggs a la carte, something very rare in Madrid.

Very well located and renewed rooms. Was there with my 4 children and staff and facilities filled every need for us. Great breakfast buffet. I was also in an individual room and terrace was an unexpected surprise. Worth reccomending

Just enjoyed a weekend stay, well located, very quiet and clean, Efficient service. I liked the terrace an unexpected delight. I would use this hotel again. Only small problem the pop plug was faulty but hey not the end of the world!

This is a small hotel at a very good price with an excellent location near to Serrano and Velasquez. Small rooms but a very good price for them. Atention was warm and courteous. I will be back definitively as the hotel is what I need in Madrid.

Staff not friendly at all (except one person at the Desk), NO AIR CONDITIONING (with an outside temperature of 26°C) so it was just impossible to sleep. Last but not least: beds and pillows are terrible. It wasn't my first stay in a NH, but I won't go back to NH Lagasca

Centrally located. Great breakfast. Rooms are just ok. Tried to order roomservice, but there was nobody who spoke English. I was refered to reception, but also there nobody spoke English and they had to come to my room so that I could point out my choice on the menu. Very disappointing for a tourist hotel in the centre of a... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
