Stayed in the Sanvy several times - this time (March 2015) was for two nights for business. The hotel is very clean, rooms are standard hotel but are good, buffet breakfast is excellent and the location is great for either the city centre (20 minute walk) or some shopping closer by. Hard Rock Cafe is right outside too if you... More

I love the great services provided by staff like Mayte, Pepe, and Tiago. The breakfast spread was fresh and varied. Truly a welcome experience FYI begin the day. I strongly recommend to stay in this hotel. Beside the location is excellent to shopping and being off from the Main Street. It's more quiet.

The outstanding qualities of this hotel are the very friendly and helpful staff and its location in the nice area of Salamanca. Breakfast in NH Sanvy is the best during our two weeks ' stay in Spain. Thanks to the breakfast staff Mayte, Pepe and Tiago! However The rooms are not up to expectations and need to be upgraded.

A nice hotel close in the centre of Madrid. Room was clean and had a nice comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice. Staff were friendly and I would stay again if in Madrid. Close by to the HardRock cafe and bars.

The location is good; next to Madrid Hard Rock Café, in the complex of several tapa places and close to Metro. The room are small. We stayed twice, compliment of the tour we took. The first room was tiny; we could not even open the suitcase. The second room was little better and it also had an interesting view. The... More

we stayed in NH Collection Amistad in Cordoba, that is a superb hotel, ideally located inside the old "Juderia" of the city (Jewry) and walking distance from everything monuments and restaurants. Wonderful breakfast, with delicius options and great service. Highly recommended

This was our first time in the NH Madrid Sanvy hotel. We have visited many other NH hoteles in Madrid and we always enjoy our stays, but for the first time the hotel staff's friendliness and kindness really stood out. Special thanks to Dutch front desk help Isabella and kind and helpfull staff in the breakfast restaurant Mayte, Tiago and... More

We were 3 persons, sharing a suite. It was like a small apartment with 2 separate rooms each with a T.V. and a corridor with fridge leading to a bathroom. A Nespresso machine, kettle , tea and coffee available. A free bottle of water every day and a welcome basket was given to us upon our arrival. Great central location... More

It is in a great location near shopping, many museums and restaurants. But it is a tourist hotel and specialized in hosting people on large group tours. It is clean, but it is very utilitarian and not luxurious. It does have free Internet and a decent buffet, but the gym is limited and the room luxuries limited as well. Be... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
