We found the Husa Princesa perfect for our first visit to Madrid. Steps away from the Metro and bus lines but in a relatively quiet area of the city. The room was nicely furnished and impeccably clean. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, we also had one dinner in the restaurant and thought it very good. The outside Metro cafe was... more

I booked this hotel as it worked out about £4 per night more expensive than a 3 star - mainly due to there being no extra charge to accomodate children in the room. Easy to get to (less than 2 blocks from the metro), walking distance of most of the tourist sites - or else a bus or metro trip... more

I agree with previous reviewers that the 5 star rating is misleading, but as someone who travels a lot to Madrid on business, I really like this hotel. I've stayed there three times and always found the rooms very nice. Unlike another reviewer, I've never had a room with tired decor. It does have a kind of retro 1970s feel,... more

Forget about the 5 stars listed in the hotel's emblem, that's just misleading marketing. I would grade it for a regular *** 3 star hotel according to European standards. I like the hotel, the service is at the front-desk is OK but we got an overall messy impression. In the front-desk there's a sign proudly showing all airline mileage programs... more

I have just returned from a 4 day visit to Madrid with my 2 teenage children. The hotel was in an excellent location beside the metro which we used to explore the city. The rooms were very comfortable and we were very happy there. We hope to return again. more

The quality of this hotel was very disappointing, definitley not worth the price we paid. The decor and furnishings are tired, worn and badly in need of updating. The shower head holder was broken and despite repeatedly asking , over our 4 day stay it wasn't fixed. The towels were very worn and there was a hole in a sheet.... more

This hotel is a gem in Madrid. It is suitable to business travellers or turists. Not the best option for a family with kids. It offers a luxury accomodation convenient to shopping ( right next to a El Corte Ingles store) and the downtown area at a walking distance ( 30 minutes) or via underground (Arguelles station) near the hotel.... more

Stayed at the Husa Princesa for 4 nights on a business/leisure trip. Overall, it was a clean and good quality hotel in a good location - more positive stuff later, after I've got my main gripe out of the way. Previous reviewers have commented on the welcome they have got from the reception desk staff, and I've never placed much... more

This hotel is very well located on Princesa Street. Very near to the metro station Arguelles (on line 3) just up the street. The facilities at the hotel are great for a city centre hotel and the rooms were very comfortable and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Madrid. more

Stayed here May 08. Location is extremely good - away from the touristy spots yet close enough to the centre of action, subway and a big supermarket right beside the hotel, 5min walk to the double-deckle hop-on-hop-off bus, complimentary hotel pickup from all day tour operators. However, there is no good restaurant within 50m radius - fast food ftw! Staff... more
