Starting with the good... great central location, next to the Arguelles metro station. The refurbished rooms are good size, clean, with lovely big beds & a well priced minibar. Overall the hotel was very good value for money (and they should try to keep it this way!). Some of the reception staff were helpful - when needed maps, directions etc.... More

I had stayed here many years ago and on this trip I decided to return. I was not sorry. I was there twice, first for 1 night, and a week later for 2. Both times I was received professionally and warmly. Nice rooms, with an in-room safe, good bathroom, comfy beds. Small problems (telephone issues, airconditioning which I couldn't figure... More

The hotel is conveniently smack on the shopping area of El Corte Ingles. It is walking distance to their downtown where there are a lot of theaters and other kinds of shops. Room is clean and comfortable but was a bit turned off with the HUGE replica oil-painting portrait as the head bed. Was surprised that you got to ask... More

Disclaimer: This hotel was booked through our Groupon travel agent. Pros: -The hotel was in a great location...right next to the El Corte Ingles (a department store), 10 min. walk to Plaza de Espana/Calle Grand Via (popular shopping street) and a 2 min walk to the Arguelles Metro station. -Attached to a well equipped gym with a (small) pool and... We stayed here for three nights, during November. Compare to hotels in Paris and Barcelona, I felt I am in a Four star Hotel. This is a proper hotel, but bit Old and refurbished I believe. Rooms are huge, Breakfast was good, reception not very friendly except some woman staff. Internet is chargeable and they gave access to only one... More

Pros: It is clean. Centrally located. Cons: Typically European meaning they make you pay for a refurbished room, it is an extra €29 a night. The fridge in the room was not cold at all. So don't think you can keep things refrigerated. Oh and get this, you can NEVER reach the front desk. The phones say " press M1... More

The location of the hotel is ok and it us around 10 min walk to Gran Via Street. The room size is ok and lovely paintings are decorated the room. Metro station is near and also there are Starbucks just next to it. There are many restaurants and cafes near by.

Nice view of the city from the 12th floor out the front. Hard to adjust the temp, and the room felt too warm, in general. Breakfast was great but VERY crowded. The rugs should be cleaned or replaced and had a big yuk factor. Nice, big, good beds. Front desk understaffed and seemed hassled. Good central location. No reliable wifi.... More

I have scored this hotel average because of the issues we had, however to be fair the hotel was nice. We found the hotel to be in a good location the rooms were very clean and spacious and had obviously been recently decorated. Our first room looked at the wall of a department store there were no tea and coffee... More
