We stayed at this hotel last year. The hotel is large and the staff was nice enough. The hotel was just ok but we got a great rate so we thought it was a decent value. It is very close to a lot of attractions and the metro is literally around the corner. El Cortes Ingles is on the same... More

Stayed here just before Christmas last year (Dec 2014) while the hotel was in the throes of being renovated, for which the staff apologised. Our room was one of the newly renovated ones, overlooking Calle Princesa. It was lavishly furnished with a very comfortable super-king bed and 37" TV. The bathroom was also spacious with a shower-bath with excellent pressure.... More

This hotel is what you would expect of a four star hotel in Europe. It is clean. The decoration is a little outdated and the AC needs to cool a little better, but it is being renovated from the first floor up. The staff is friendly and attentive. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is next... More

Upon check-in "hospitality" staff were rude and unhelpful. No internet connection available and the room was not particularly clean. In room amenities soap, shampoo, etc was inadequate for a double. Meals were acceptable but service was slow at dinner time and undercooked. Breakfast buffet was OK but the Maitre'd was also rude. Overall this was the poorest of 7 different... More

The hotel is near the center. But personally, I preferred another area to stay in in Madrid like Gran Via full of life, restaurants, shopping streets etc.... Regarding the hotel, first of all you will be surprised about the wifi policy(each 24hrs a new code). The Rooms are very spacious and modern . We took a triple room with large beds and... More

Breakfast. The displayef plates are not clean. Some show greasy. Some show egg like left. The glasses not clean. This going on every days, obvious the managers dont care, the staff dont care. Dont go to This place. :-(

The Hotel Husa Princesa was a comfortable place to stay. The location is central and not in an area heavy with tourists. The rooms were quite large, contemporary and very clean. The breakfast (included in our package) could use some improvements. If you are health conscious, not many healthy choices. The WiFi was broken when we arrived, and 4 days... More

Well located nice and clean hotel for a business visit, though I was surprised with the Wifi policy, which gives you one code for 24 hours. The room is spacious with the king size bed, the bathroom is ok. Overall I had a nice time there.

Clean, well presented and well located. Right by the metro with some lovely cafes just out of the centre but only 10 mins or so from the Gran Via. Next to a large department store. Great service too with friendly staff.

This hotel is a great option for mid-range, and good location. If you're not needing to work from the hotel, or you only carry one digital device, it could be good for business. But I found that the policy of handing out ONE wireless code per 24 hours really crazy, and not workable for my business travel needs. Therefore I... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
