We had a fantastic time exploring madrid although it was incredible hot. Even more thankful for a good night sleep with air conditioning. Just one foot out of the house were brilliant little streets with bars and restaurants to dive in the authentic madrid flair. Our room was on the back of the building so we didn't hear anything of... Modern room and very clean. Big enough for a citytrip. They are very nice and help you in every way that they can! The breakfast is tasty. I recommend this to all of my friends so they can enjoy such good things as well.

Nice but too small. An elevator is absent, this makes some difficulties to elder people, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. A huge number of caffes, bars, etc around. Thanks for your kind attention

The rooms were very clean, there were free drinks in the minibar and the location was excellent (5 min walk to Sol). The bathroom was a little bit small, but after all it was not really a big problem.

The staff were friendly and the rooms bright and very clean. The hotel is very central and amongst some great tapas bars. The bathroom had a beautiful glass sink. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and shower gel were included. A hairdryer was in the room and the shower was powerful with a massage setting too! The water and pepsi in our fridge... More

I recommend this place. It is nice, clean and in a good location (near the Puerta del Sol). The only issue was that the the 12 rooms hostel is above a night club, so remember to take earplugs with you. ;)

Well situated in the center of the city , at walking distance of the most important places to visit , and surrouded with typical restaurants and bars , we were delighted to stay in this place for 2 days

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
