The hotel is ideally located for exploring central Madrid and beyond since it is very close to Gran Via metro station. The hotel very clean and well-maintained. The lifts are extremely small and odd-shaped, making it difficult to fit both people and luggage inside. This is particularly problematic if you are on an upper level, where using the stairs isn't... more

stayed for 2 nights. The location of this Hotel is excellent, not far from anywhere. 5 mins walk from Plaza del Sol and 1 min walk from Gran Via. A bit noisy, could hear traffic and room next door, but room size was good. Didn't take breakfast, 14euro each, you could get a coffee and croissant in the bar/cafe over... more

I stayed in the Arosa for 3nights with my boyfriend. As young people we were not that fussy and only expected the basics but were delighted to have a luxurious stay here. First things first, Its write on the main street (Gran Via) so basicaly it could not be more central. There are loads of shops (Zara, springfield, Mango etc)... more

I was in Madrid in September 2007 for a convention. I think I could never find such a good price for such a centrally located hotel. In Best Western hotels the best thing is that you can get an very good price for early booking, only on their official website. The rooms were spacious and clean. Just one small defect.... more

This hotel is in a good location, just off of the Gran Via, and the rate was very reasonable, for about $80/night. The rooms are clean but basic, and upon request there is a shuttle directly from the airport for a nominal fee. The staff was helpful, the wifi was free. The one thing I didn´t like was that breakfast... more

The hotel is in an excellent location, right on the Gran Via. Mass transit stations are nearby, but much of the city is within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is in good shape and the rooms are of decent size, for European standards. The staff, although helpful, spoke very little English. more

Great location. Near shopping, restaurants, subway. Walking distance to many key locations. Clean but just not great rooms. Could feel springs in the bed. Staff not very warm. Not one smile to greet us during our 4 days there, though when asked they were helpful in answering questions. Breakfast buffet was mediocre. Couldn't even get a cup of coffee in... more

We stayed in this hotel in Sep 2008. We were assigned a clean but very shabby room (room 501) with toilet and bath tub at the two ends of the room (very inconvenient!). Our room was totally different from those pictures shown on the website. We later found that some rooms in this hotel were half-renovated (i.e. only the toilet... more

For a business trip to the Spanish capital, this hotel was located in a good part of town to explore local bars and get a flavour of the city before flying back out again. My room was £98, and if I was paying I would not be thrilled, as the place needed an update. However it was functional for a... more
