We stayed for 3 days, today being the last day. Advice: stay in back of hotel for Peace & quiet, front for the view. Pros: location, excellent wi~fi signal in entire hotel, friendly front desk that speaks English, breakfast spread is wonderful with 1 espresso machine (wish there were two. Cons: very slow elevator,no ice machine, gym is a joke, sauna is... More

The rooms are clean. The neighborhood is verry good near to the center. The breakfast is great. We spent 5 nights in a double room. The room was verry dark and loud. It has jjust one small window. There weren't facilities for 2 persons in the bathroom - shampoo, soap etc. The elevators are extremly slow.

It is a nice hotel near Madrid'center (five metro station from puerto del sol). The rooms are very clean, very quiet. It is better to reserve the parking with the room. The price of the breakfast is too expensive.

As always efficient and good people on reception. Food and wine good and the rooms are well appointed and good for working in. The beds are comfortable and the black out curtains work well. Good range of tv programmes and the Internet Service was quick to get up and running and worked correctly

We spent 3 nights in a nice and spacious room with a clean bathroom. Location of the hotel is excellent. We walked to the Prado and there are nice restaurants in the vicinity. The side streets are very colorful . The staff was very helpful pointing us to a great restaurant in the side street, 5 min walk away called... More

I know this hotel (old name Bauza) since 2001. The location is fantastic however the hotel lost its identity. It’s still a nice hotel but an average one. It as is one parking (not to big but faire), free wifi and a very nice breakfast. Very good price in August; not so nice during the rest of the year. Enjoyable... More

Average hotel in an average location. No pool even though simming pool pictures are everywhere. Not sure which Vincci hotel has a pool. Gym tiny and hard to find. Restuarant rather expensive. Difficult finding 'English' food explanations close to hotel.

Close to sub way,and good shopping areas. Rooms are good size but shower too narrow. Breakfast was ok , but they run out of tea bags at breakfast. Front desk staff very helpful . You can walk to square in about 20 min. Lift to floors are slow, so be prepared to walk.

This hotel is in one of the best areas in Madrid, near shops, restaurants, well communicated to airport and train stations. Rooms are modern and clean. We were upgraded to a superior room with a nice little patio which we really enjoyed in hot summer nights. Very recommended place if you are looking for a place quite central. Retiri park... More

Stayed here for a business conference recently. The conference team who managed our event were excellent and the event ran perfectly! The buffet/tapas style lunch was tasty and I ate far too much! The hotel itself has an excellent restaurant with a great choice of breakfast. The bedrooms are a good size and modern - my only complaint was the... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
