Our family stayed at the Ritz Madrid in August for 3 nights. The service and location were top-notch. The concierge and staff were friendly and wonderful. We especially enjoyed the dining on the terrace. August is a fantastic time to visit Madrid contrary to popular opinion. It wasn't that hot and not very crowded. I stayed at the Ritz more... More

Location good across the street from the Prado Museum. Lobby looks good but over scented from flowers and perfume. Room was a major disappointment. Bathroom size was too small for two people. If you open the door from the toilet area, you hit the person standing in front of the basin. If you opened the door you couldn't get out... More

We stayed at the Ritz Madrid for the third time in August. We were very happy with the experience overall. The staff were very helpful and attentive, especially at the reception desk We enjoyed the breakfast and brunch at Goya. The rooms were comfortable but need some upgrades and modernization

The hotel has an excellent location, close to everything including the lovely famous Madrid park. The building is old and not the big, I would not rate it as 5 stars, but more 3 or max 4 and therefore the price should not be that high, therefore it's expensive for the what ones gets.

We didn't stay here but had lunch in the garden restaurant after a visit to the Prado Museum. We were surprised at the poor service. It was not busy when we arrived and we sat down at a table laid out for 4. The waiter asked us if we really wanted to sit at this table. We said yes -... More

I stopped at the Ritz with my wife for our anniversary and my wife's birthday.I just cannot believe some of the reviews. The hotel and staff are absolutely superb. The hotel exudes style and class that other hotels in the area fail miserably to emulate. On our arrival we were greeted with utter professionalism and attentiveness. We were also treated to a... I'm afraid I cannot rate this hotel excellent as the attention to details is just no there. I am convinced the hotel must have been exceptional in its heyday but it now shows lots of signs of wear and although it has been maintained to a very good standard it is in great need of a complete refurbishment. The same... More

From the minute we arrived and entered the hotel we were treated wonderfully. The service from the doormen, concierge and front desk was outstanding. We chose to upgrade our room from a classic to deluxe and the room was old-fashioned and perfect. Everything about the Ritz is how a 5* hotel should be. All the staff that we encountered were... I felt like I was staying in a third rate Hotel. The carpet in our room looked like it had not been cleaned in 5 years. The doors were in need of a major overhaul. No turndown. The bathroom was smaller than my coat closet. Their double sinks were almost touching. No place to put your toiletries. They room stank... More

We stayed 5 nights in mid-August. As usual, we asked for a quiet room, ideally one with good sunlight since our stay is longer than most and we do spend some time in the room each day other than sleeping. Our room looked out at the hotel's inner courtyard, which was fine. The room was large, clean, & comfortable, with... More
