We spent three days at Villa Magna over the Easter weekend. The service was incredible (when my husband went outside for a run, a staff member was waiting for his return by the main door with a bottle of water !), the room very comfortable. We were given an Easter egg a day in the room and the chocolate was... More

Quiet hotel in the leafy Salamanca district. Distinctly larger than a boutique hotel, the interior is nevertheless an intimate space. Wifi is immediately accessible. The main restaurant serves an excellent menu card offering a selected wine list as well. The Magnum Bar is extremelly cozy and elegant and has great cocktails and tasty tapas

From the moment we arrived and were welcomed by the doorman, we knew we picked the right place for our family visit to Madrid. We stayed three nights in adjoining rooms, ample space for my spouse, myself, and our teenage son (who appreciated the privacy and free wi-fi!). The service is beyond compare (even to us Four Seasons fans), the... More

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Villa Magna in Madrid. The service was amazing from the time we walked through the doors. From the front desk to the room to breakfast and the spa. It was all fabulous. Many thanks to all who made our stay memorable

One night wasn't enough. Large, perfectly appointed room with great linens, large bath with separate shower and large soaking tub. The main floor public areas were attractive and spacious including a great bar, lounge and adjoining patio. Breakfast was great. Didn't try hotel for dinner. Finally, free wifi was easy to access and quite fast

If you want a five-star experience - stay here! Rooms are spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. We loved the lounge/bar area of this hotel - great spot for a drink, even if you're not staying here. Very tastefully decorated rooms. Both spacious and impeccable. We had two adjoining rooms to accommodate our family and we were quite comfortable. The staff is very helpful and eager to please. Madrid is a very walkable city and the Villa Magna is conveniently located near shops and points of interest. Highly recommend!

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are extremely spacious and well appointed. The prices for even simple food in all of the three dining options is exorbitant. It is right in the middle of the high end shopping district and there are endless streets of shops and boutiques to browse in. It is also in the business... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
