Perfect Location, Great Staff, Very Dirty Hotel, Terrible Breakfast Do not stay on 7th floor. Check the cleanness of the room before checking-in. Check each dish and cup at the breakfast. They are not well cleaned.

This hotel is really really nice, we had our own private hot tub on the roof of the hotel, two balconies and a beautiful bathroom. The room was large and had a Nespresso machine too. The mini bar was well stocked and a decent safe is fitted in the wardrobe. The only two negatives were there only two very thin... More

Excellent location for city centre sights, clean throughout, large bedroom, and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet but dining room a little small when hotel is very busy. Would certainly use it again for 2-3 night trip to Madrid. Excellent modern style tapas bar/restaurant directly opposite called (I think) Mercado del Reine.

This hotel is within short walking distance of the Plaza del Sol and the Plaza Mayor on one side, and the trendy bar and restaurant district on the other side. Rooms were spacious enough for two people, clean, and well kept. Had a problem sith bathroom sink but was taken care of quickly. Good breakfast buffet. Beds were comfortable. Downside... More

Excellent location. Very clean. Great staff. Good breakfast. Value for money. Towels were new. Bed was very comfortable. Good size of room. Big closets. Bus stops are just outside and opposite the hotel. Taxis are easily available just outside the hotel. Walking distance to food joints. Walking distance to tourist spots.

The locations is quite central and one has almost all the hotspots at a walking distance. It´s also a nice location for the shop lovers. However, the rooms are a bit small and the social areas poor or nonexistent. Anyway, the worst is the service in general, without any care.

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
