Nice European hotel. Small but very clean, comfortable, and friendly staff. The location is excellent for tourists coming and going to explore the city...near the city tour hop on hop off bus stop and metro stations. It's located on a quiet side street surrounded by many small book stores, also an Arab restaurant with a nice menu. We arrived early... More

This 3 stars' hotel Los Condes located in the heart of Madrid gives a 5 stars' service and an excellent staff that helps guests have a pleasant experience. I recommend it to anyone traveling on business or pleasure, seeking good room rate with above average services.

We used the Hotel Los Condes as a base for our short break in Madrid. Sighted just a couple of minuets walk from the Grand Via it is in an ideal situation for sight seeing and shopping in this great city. The Hotel only offers bed and breakfast with a limited service in the rooms and lounge area at other... More

We had a great deal with flight and hotel. The hotel is in a small lane literally two mins from the Gran Via so location is excellent. Upon arrival wished I had gone up a star but once unpacked and settled, realised we were only showering and sleeping in the room. Small and basic but very clean. A little noisy... More

I loved the location. It was on a side street full of booksellers. However we had problems with the room: the air conditioner didn't work so the room was stuffy, one of the bedside lights wouldn't turn off so the bulb needed to be unscrewed to turn it off and worst of all was the noise from other rooms and... I have just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. The location is great, on a side quiet street right in the centre of Madrid. Rooms were of good size and spotless. Staff friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a good (not great) value in a good location. It's the equivalent of staying in Times Square New York city, which maybe be perfect in some scenarios but for this specific stay with my husband, we would have preferred a more quiet location. The rooms are ample size and clean. A quality breakfast is also included. Staff... More

As mentioned by other reviewers below, this hotel is very centrally located in one of the most happening areas of Madrid. It is off the Gran Via with tons of restaurants and a great nightlife. We spent one night here - took the metro from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is about 10-12 mins walking distance from Plaza... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
