Internet at 50€ per day (cable line + wifi) !!!!! These guys are in the dark ages! They make us pay through the nose for internet access that should be free like water! Especially in an expensive hotel this category! Nice room and friendly staff, but overpriced and very very expensive internet access !!! more

This hotel was average and in my opinion overpriced. The main positive aspect of the Hotel Villa Real is the location as it is centrally located and within walking distance of everything, especially the main museums of Madrid. The front desk and door staff were friendly but nothing extraordinary. We were in a duplex suite which was definitely unique and... more

It was my first stay at the Villa Real and, upon arriving early in the morning after an overnight flight from New York, I was thrilled to be welcome as an old friend; a room was available for me to catch up on my sleep. The room, a split-level second-floor double, was elegantly furnished and quite ample. The bathroom was... more

We stayed at the villa real for a short break, 4 days, and found it to be fabulous. The location is the best, right in the heart of it all. The reception and public areas are truly beautiful and the rooms were great, we were in one of the rooms not yet updated and loved it, had our own terrace,... more

Perfect location, but not a five star this hotel is compared to the palace hotel next door. It is old renovations were going on ,the tub is scary in the bathroom tiles old and broken in the room. this would be a 3 star and should not be compared to the palace or Ritz across the street more

I traveled to the Villa Real with teen-age girls. From the moment we arrived in the taxi, until the moment we left, we had excellent service. It was raining when we arrived, and we were escorted in with umbrellas. Our baggage was promptly taken to our room. We had a beautiful two level room with a terrace. The decor was... more

This is a great hotel, though don't expect a 5-star hotel on the magnitude of the Ritz or Westin. We really enjoyed our stay here--our room was nice and had a good view. It is in a great location with short walks to the museums, Plaza Santa Ana, all the tapas bars, and Puerta del Sol. Most importantly, it was... more

If you want to see art in Madrid this is the place to stay. It is 2 blocks from the Prado, 3 blocks from Reina Sophia, and 1 block from Teatro de la Zarzuela and the Thyssen museum. We were very comfortable in our large split level room, with view and balcony overlooking a small plaza in front of the... more

Perfect location and service. Double story room with a great balcony for a great price. 2 bathrooms. Jacuzzi a little dated. 5 stars by any standarts. more
