We were really enjoyed. The staff was nice to us and the breakfast good. The pool allways fool with guest and a little crowd. The room was small but clean. They clean iur room every day. I think 3.5 stars was more apropriate for this hotel. The location was perfect.

I have been to Madrid a few times and thought I would try a different hotel. This hotel is in a good location, but unfortunately was the noisest one I have stayed in. I expected noise being the end of August but I did not expect delivery lorries all night long(maybe not for the hotel but lorries all the same).... More

I must admit this was a disappointing stay in the hotel. The rooms are quite dirty, the bathrooms are not in a good shape and the natural lighting in the rooms is not in abundance. The swimming pool on the roof is over populated and the water seemed to be quite dirty.

By reading the reviews I already knew this hotel wasn't going to be the best stay of my life so my expectations were already low.. And even then, this hotel didn't meet them. I booked it because it's well located and it has a nice (cold) rooftop pool. Although our stay wasn't horrible, we never felt we were in a... More

Whilst the room was small, it was big enough for the 2 of us for the 2 nights we were spending in Madrid. We had a view of a dusty fire escape, so kept the blind down and had no natural light. but it was comfortable, affordable and very well located in the city centre, yet not noisy.

I was looking for a last minute short break to Madrid and having looked at a few hotels I chose the Mercure.I liked the idea of the individually themed rooms and the roof terrace looked very nice looking at the gallery photos online. On entering the hotel you are met with a nice reception and seating area. In fact all... More

Hotel is very pleasant in a great location once you get your bearings. We walked everywhere with a fit 83 year old! Only one criticism the house/dance music by the pool was awful - it was so repetitive that I would have preferred rap music! even my 18 year old did not appreciate it.

Stayed here last year. This time ,as then, room was small but functional- everything worked well -a/c, good shower etc. Metro and small supermarket directly across road, if you don't want to use mini-bar : ) Sun terrace excellent for sunbathing after spending day sightseeing......mainly for couples : ( Will stay here again. If you are reading this and you... More

I had the opportunity to leave a comment several years ago about this hotel. At that time, my feeling was quite mixed. This year, we definitely had a bad stay and I therefore decrease my rating accordingly. Room & bathroom were very small, very old (furnitures included), dirty with a "view" on a sort of inner, dirty & dark courtyard.... More

The moment you walk in the door at the Mercure Santo Domingo, it is a pleasant experience. It smells so fresh and clean. Our checkin prices was simple, before we new it our bags were loaded on to a trolley ready to be moved to our room. I haven't seen this type if service for some time. The rooms are... More
