A basic accommodation in central Madrid right next to Gran Via do great if your a shopaholic. Rooms are basic but clean. My only gripe is that there were no pillow or mattress protectors on the bed. You have everything you need in the room including A/C. The rooms can be a little noisy as the walls are so thin... More

The owner was very polite and friendly! He undrestood that I don't speak Spanish but I tried a little bit and he made everything clear speaking Spanish-English mix, showing and writing. The room had a little balcony - good spot to watch the Spanish lifestyle for a while : ) Room was very spacious! And clean. No problem with WiFi.... More

Location is perfect. Pension Adeco is literally in the heart of Madrid. Rooms were extremly clean, furniture modest but suficient. Wifi was excellent, and the owner was very polite and helpful (he speaks only Spanish :)). I would definitely reccomend this place.

I booked a room for one, which was small, but big enough for me. It includes a (small) writing table, a wardrobe closet with hangers, a washbasin and a shower cabin. The bed was perfectly OK for me. All is in good state and the properness is outstanding! The manager is around all day (it seems..) and he's into cleaning!... More

Cheap, but clean and nice. This hotel occupies the 2nd floor in an apartment complex, but the rooms are quiet, we didn't hear any noises. The manager is friendly and eager to help. There is a pile of magazines at the reception. Only one minus: no soap in the bathroom.

Very cheap rooms in the heart of Madrid. Room service is perfect. Owner is very friendly. Gran via metro is 200 metres away. Fuencarral street is full of clothes shops. Very busy, but rooms in hotel are quite. Great times here

Booked this online and found the place close to both Tribunal and Gran Via metro stops. It is two levels up from the ground floor without any elevators, but for the price it was worth it. The rooms were clean (we rented two single rooms), the beds very comfortable, and the airconditioners and heats actually worked! There was also hot... More

Metro stop very close by. There is WiFi, it is somewhat slow and spotty but it did the job. Staff was wonderful and helpful. The is a bit of a walk up (4 floors) but European travelers know to expect this. Room was pretty standard, no frills, small and adequate. There are a number of decent restaurants on the cheap... We stayed one night here and were recommended this by a friend living in Madrid. She had her brother stay here before when visiting. We felt it was very clean, a good price at forty-five euro per night especially for madrid, and in a great location in the center of Madrid. As you probably know from other reviews, places in... Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
