This place is in a best area. 5 Minutes walking from Atocha station (metro and train). When you enter to the hostel, seems that you are in 1970. The telephones at the rooms are REALLY old ones... (they can buy a vintage ones if they want it for decoration, but NO! Those telephones are really old ones). Another good things... More

This place is close to the Atocha station. Rooms are very small but clean, bathroom is also small but clean. Our room faced the main road so it was noisy, but plenty of light. The main problem was that no one spoke English, and we had to resort to sign language with the receptionist. Another thing which irritated us was... More

Only one thing was good there - the location. The room was dark, a small window overlooking the yard didn't give the light. You can only dream about wi-fi in room. The staff don't know English. We didn't care about it, because we only sleep there, hole days spend in Madrid. The worst thing was that the last day they... More

We arrived into Madrid at 10.30 pm and wanted somewhere close to Atocha station. Highly recommend you map your route before you arrive as the station is huge and I think we made hard work of getting there and it took around 20 to 25 minutes. When we left we took the sneaky back way and it took 10 minutes.... More

Travellers who would like a friendly, unpretentious place to stay in Madrid, which can be expensive, would be happy to know that Hostal Cordoba is terrific value. The friendliness and generosity of the proprietors, especially David, who speaks excellent English, is amazing. Though my friend and I had both booked single rooms, he immediately upgraded us to a triple and... More

It's a small hostel, a bit rusty but very clean. The location is very near to Atocha train station, I think it's two blocks away fron the station. The owners are very helpful, one of them did not speak English but made effort to answer our questions. If you are used to staying at hostels then this place is suitable... More
