I stayed at Hostal Ivor at the beginning of May. Warmly welcomed by Andreas (you have to check in at Hostal Mayrit on the 3rd floor) who gave us a map and marked the locations of things to see and places to eat. Hotel is in a great location, only short walk from Opera metro station and 10-20 mins walk... More

Stayed with husband and friend here for 3 nights in May 2012. Triple room consisted of double bed and single bed. Limited space but was clean and had good air conditioning. Friendly service and staff had adequate English. Free wifi and great value. Overall a very good stay.

This was really a bargain the rooms are very clean and have all amenities flat screen TV, aircon, double bed. The location was superb you opened the main door and you were right in the heart of Madrid. The rooms where excellent value for money and the staff were very helpful. would definitely recommend and would choose this accommodation again.

I travelled here on a girls weekend. We chose this hotel for it very reasonable rates and central location, and it didn't disappoint on either. The rooms are relatively small but spotless and good value for the price paid. It suited our needs as we were only using the accommodation as a base. It was very easy to reach from... More

The hotel is in the centre, near Sol. The rooms are small but nice and clean. Very good service and friendly people. Despite the hotel is on a very busy street, (also at night) the noises didn't border me at all.

The folks that run the place are quite nice, but after complaining of a loud room behind their washing room they moved me to a tiny box of a room. It not only had a tiny window and no moving room, but it was probably the loudest place in the hotel. Do not stay here if you want to go... More

A very short walk from Puerto del Sol and the subways along a pedestrian street. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Wireless available in the lobby at the time of our stay and rooms close to lobby. We were there in October of 2011.

if you're looking for the basics (clean bed, clean shower) then Hostal Ivor is a great place considering it's prime location. Wifi was incosistant at times, and noises from cleaners in the early morning are very loud, but all in all i wasn't there in Madrid to sleep... they don't give you a key to enter the building, and sometimes... Really impressed! Only 200m form Royal Opera House one way and Puerto De Sol the other, on a busy pedestrainised shopping street. I booked 2 rooms, a double and a triple and asked for balconies onto the street, rather than the quieter rear. Our triple room actually was a quad, with 1 double and 2 singles. Both were next door...
