While searching for a flat, I stayed at PPSB for 54 days. It sits in city centre and made my efforts simple. Entire hotel staff went way above and beyond standards to make my stay perfect! Stay here to really enjoy Madrid! A. Martinez metro is right there to get you anywhere in Madrid. Perfect location.

Lovely hotel. The staff we met all spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. We travelled from the airport by train and the station was only a few minutes walk away. Great location right in the centre of the city with a beautiful plaza and cafe just outside. Very modern and clean room with great view. Overall excellent value... More

We have previously visited Madrid and stayed in a hotel on the Grand Via, which was fine, but this location was so much better. Quieter and very easy to visit lots of places in the city. Very clean and modern hotel. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Didn't have the breakfast but there are plenty of places to eat cheaply close... More

Very friendly check-in (good English too). First impressions were mixed: the corridors are dark, with "mood lighting" and then lights up as you walk along. This seems to be a bit of a fad in (Spanish) hotels, but I find it creepy. Room was modern and well equipped: no complaints here. Room service was not possible when I was there... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your honest review of your stay with us. We are sorry to hear that you were not impressed with our hallways with electric blue floor lights! As you mentioned, the celling lights are activated by movement sensors so they should light up as soon as anyone walks into them. This is part our environment friendly... More

Love how Petit Palace renovates old buildings into funky, bright and airy modern hotels. The rooms in this hotel came with a laptop, free wifi, and a huge glass shower with jets so the both of us could take a shower together....very modern and clean bathrooms - the toiletries like tootbrush, toothpaste, a shaving razor came in very handy. Also... More

Where to start... We have just returned from a 6 night stay in this hotel. From the minute we walked through the door we just knew it was going to be fantastic. The staff on the front desk were very helpful and spoke the english language very fluently. Prior to arrival I had requested a street view room on a... More

Stayed at hotel with friends for a city break. Staff were so friendly throughout the stay, very accommodating and always willing to help. In my opinion the hotel is what I would class as 'boutique" - the rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. The only down side was the noise from... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
