Stayed here 3 nights. Location is the main selling point. Close to lots of things in tourist Madrid. Walk to Prado, etc. Sleep quality not the best. Street outside is noisy and not much sound proofing in the rooms. Nearby bar patrons were quite boisterous at 2am on their way home. Rooms are very sparse. 2 beds, 1 plastic chair.... More

Chose this Hotel because of it's prices and location and we were not disappointed. The hotel is a short walk to plaza mayor, mercado de san miguel, puerta del sol and many train stations. It is also flooded with choices of different restaurants. The hotel itself is very clean and nicely decorated. The room is a decent size for a... More

I went there at the end of April 2015, with my mother and a friend of her. We stayed there for two days but it was enough to take a look to an amazing city such as Madrid. Fortunately, thanks to Booking.com, we managed to find a cheap, comfortable and excellent hotel in the centre. Service was good, as cleanliness... More

Great location Close to metro, easy to walk everywhere in centro - not far from the Prado, the palace, plaza mayor, plaza del sol and the mercato tapas market. Even a self service laundromat not too far away.. Clean, comfortable, great hot shower. Tea , coffee available whenever you wanted it....gratis :-) William was very helpful - where to go,... More

Nice and convenient little hotel. Perfect location in the city center. Many places of interest in walking distance, Underground just down the street. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are quite basic, but ok. Breakfast the same. But there are lots of cute little breakfast-cafés to experience near by...

Right in the heart of all of Madrid's action, you couldn't ask for more in terms of location. The showers with pulsating coloured lights were an 'interesting' feature. However, the noise at night (partygoers roaming the streets at night, buses in the mornings) made for not quite perfectly restful nights.

If you are looking for a simple hotel in a central location than this is probably it. We didn't take any public transport except for arriving in and leaving from Madrid. The rooms are small and basic. There is a tiny clothes rail, a chair and shelf, a bed, and a rack where you can put toiletries. Some people may... More

Good location, friendly staff, nice little breakfast with very good coffee machine, clean rooms. Rooms at the backside are silent since there is no street noise there. We stayed in 104 which was perfect.

Very friendly and helpful staff who really made our holiday special. A request for a 4th or 5th floor room was remembered and secured for us. We were given very good recommendations for restaurants and activities which they marked out on a free map for us. The team there make it all look easy! Thank you so much to you... More

Staying in La Latina

Neighborhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighborhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighborhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
