Great hotel, we were so pleased we booked this. Location was fabulous, close to all the main squares and great eateries. We spent four days in Madrid and only needed to get the metro a couple of times, and mainly only because our legs were tired! The hotel itself was pleasant, clean, quiet and friendly and the free all-day coffee... More

On the first day we came here we were placed in the room for disabled people which is on the 1st floor. The room is placed straight next to the coffee machines and all this stuff so its very loud here. Actually we asked for a normal room for 2 people, but we got this.

We chose this hotel for the first and last nights of our visit to Spain with Seville inbetween. We chose mainly on price and previous reviews of course and we were not disappointed. The location was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The only part I didn't like was the first night we were given the disabled... More

We stayed for 2 nights for a quick trip to Madrid. The hotel is set in what seems like the rag trade area. This is a boutique hotel so do not expect luxury, but it is quirky, the room was a decent size, the shower etc is in a glass box adjacent to one wall, well fitted and there is... More

The Pros: A warm greeting upon our arrival, uniformly pleasant staff, well-kept rooms, central location, 24-hour free espresso drinks, and a nice breakfast. Cons: Not the loveliest area in Madrid (though it felt safe), and no separate bathroom (the only sink is in the middle of the room). Bottom line, if we returned to Madrid, we would look for a... Stayed here 3 nights. Location is the main selling point. Close to lots of things in tourist Madrid. Walk to Prado, etc. Sleep quality not the best. Street outside is noisy and not much sound proofing in the rooms. Nearby bar patrons were quite boisterous at 2am on their way home. Rooms are very sparse. 2 beds, 1 plastic chair.... More

Chose this Hotel because of it's prices and location and we were not disappointed. The hotel is a short walk to plaza mayor, mercado de san miguel, puerta del sol and many train stations. It is also flooded with choices of different restaurants. The hotel itself is very clean and nicely decorated. The room is a decent size for a... More

I went there at the end of April 2015, with my mother and a friend of her. We stayed there for two days but it was enough to take a look to an amazing city such as Madrid. Fortunately, thanks to Booking.com, we managed to find a cheap, comfortable and excellent hotel in the centre. Service was good, as cleanliness... More

Great location Close to metro, easy to walk everywhere in centro - not far from the Prado, the palace, plaza mayor, plaza del sol and the mercato tapas market. Even a self service laundromat not too far away.. Clean, comfortable, great hot shower. Tea , coffee available whenever you wanted it....gratis :-) William was very helpful - where to go,... More

Nice and convenient little hotel. Perfect location in the city center. Many places of interest in walking distance, Underground just down the street. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are quite basic, but ok. Breakfast the same. But there are lots of cute little breakfast-cafés to experience near by...

Staying in La Latina

Neighborhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighborhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighborhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
