Good central position, near metro station and buses. Pleasant room with very good sound-proofing (very passant street) and also good bedding. Cordial welcome with at any time someone at the reception desk and very obliging staff. Copious breakfast and more, free coffee and tea available at any time.

Staff are incredible. Location is fantastic especially for Latina. I stayed in the disabled room on the ground floor on the first night. IMPOSSIBLE to sleep due to music in the reception and a coffee machine outside which is bean to cup. I have no idea why the hotel feel a room with disabled access does not need to be... More

A very pleasant stay in a well located/central area. The team is very friendly, smiling and always willing to assist you the best way they can. Great! Rooms are clean and correctly equipped. One single weak point : the bed was a bit hard, softer would be nicer...

Price/quality is ideal. Monochrome minimalistic, pragmatic interior. Rooms are very clean. Quiet at night. Exceptionally helpful and hospitable reception staff - all the three of them - Henry, Eluska and Janny. 24/7 available kitchenette with coffee, tea, hot milk. Ideal location. Good safety level

This hotel is very well located, close to metro and downtown. We considered the prices fair if you compair with other hotels and the very good quality from the room and the breakfast. The team which receives us was very good, supporting us in all our needs. Thanks a lot for all!

The hotel is situated nice and centrally to all the things you might want to see in Madrid. There are loads of shops and bars and restaurants nearby. It's warm and cosy inside, with nice simple, tasteful décor. Our room was well equipped, and very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and they speak excellent English too. They... More

We stayed for two nights at the Mayerling Hotel. The location is great. It is only a short walk to the heart of La Latina and up to Plaza Mayor etc. The hotel is modern and staff friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Our first room overlooked the Main Street which was very quite. The second room looked over the... More

Me and my parents stayed at the hotel for 6 nights, and it was simply lovely. The staff is super nice (always English speaking). The breakfast and the fancy coffee machine at the communal service point are also very good. The rooms' design is a bit like a day of wondering in Ikea - but who cares? It is affordable... More

Great staff was very friendly and helpfull. A good diy breakfast with enough choice. Best location just a 5 minute walk from the main squares. Rooms are basic but cosy and clean. I would advice to anyone to go there. High quality/price level!

Lovely staff, could not be more helpful or kind. Went out of their way to look after us. Good location, easy to walk to tourist attractions and metro. Not sure about the disco lights in the shower, but otherwise an excellent stay.

Staying in La Latina

Neighborhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighborhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighborhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
