Well placed, in the heart of Madrid, near the metro station, puerta del sol. Cheap room, not satisfied with the bathroom, very small room and the most expensive prices on parking from all Europe. Free Wifi... Not conveninet to say here more then 2 nights. You will go crazy.

good localization, near to metro station, puerta del sol and plaza mayor. low price, good cost benefit relation. good acomodations, really clean and pleasant. pretty small room. located on a busy street, with intense nightlife. so, ask for a farther room if you need to rest.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, very close to Plaza del Sol, which is the centre of Madrid. It was easy to take the metro or just walk anywhere from there. There are many shops, restaurants and nightlife around. The bedroom was small but it was ok for some nights. The air conditioner and wifi work fine.... More

The hostal is at the first and second floor of a building in a calle which is basically in the very centre of Madrid, the location is really excellent. There's a lift. The reception was correct (I don't think the receptionist is always there, so be sure to tell them the approximate time of your arrival). Room was small but... More

We stayed here for five nights at the end of August. As the headline says, the location of this hostel is great: Puerta del Sol and La Latina are just five minutes away and the subway is a couple hundred meters from the door. There are also a couple small grocery stores just across the street. The hostel itself was... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the first week of July. Were welcomed by an extremely cheerful and lively Javier. Our double room was small but clean and next to the courtyard. Bed was very comfortable. There was no street noise and we had sound sleep. Only the room decor was too red. Bathroom was also small but the shower... More

The room was spotlessly clean – newly decorated, but very small. Comfortable bed. The bathroom was too small, very difficult to get in and out. Excellent location, close to shopping, cafe, restaurants and tourist attractions. Only 2 minutes to Metro. Wide stairs and a good lift. Nice helpful staff, some with limited English but could still communicate. We were there... More

I chose this place becuse of the price and not expected nothing special, but even I was prepared for basic accomodation. it was too basic. Ver, very small room - I work in hospitality sector on Poland from more than 6 years and never, ever seen that small room for 2 people. My bed was blocking the bathroom door, so... More

Staying in Huertas

Neighborhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighborhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighborhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
